From cleanliness, location, to the size of the room, everything was exceptional.
Even though, it's not at downtown, it's perfectly located near a hub of factory outlets of big brands and there are so many cafes around the area, so finding food and shopping is absolutely sorted. There's a train station nearby, accessible on foot as well to get to downtown. Overall, we had an amazing time here.

Good rooms, helpful staff (Thank you!). The hotel's proximity to Davis and Porter Squares is good for outings as well as quick access to the central parts of Cambridge and Boston.
The hotel is located very nicely in Cambridge and you can reach Boston easily with a direct MBTA train from Porter Square. The furniture and set-up was modern and very clean. We loved having breakfast (which we brought ourselves, Booking.com says wrong that hotel provides breakfast…hotel has issues correcting this) in the ambience of the old house. When I needed to do some laundry for our long road trip, there was a place in the basement of their other house where I could do coin laundry. The staff were super accommodating and helpful.
The hotel is right on Massachusetts avenue, within walking distance of Harvard University. There are several store nearby like the excellent Porter Square Bookstore and a large Star Market for food. Coffee maker in the room is a plus. Friendly and helpful staff.
Beautiful boutique hotel , lovely rooms, really comfortable bed and great shower. Ice machine on lower ground floor and coffee machine nice touch. Location directly opposite subway so convenient to go into Boston, Convenience stores and lovely bookshop/ coffee shop in Porter square opposite hotel.
My stay was very nice. The room was comfortable, wifi was fast, and the hotel is directly across the street from the Porter Square T station. No complaints here, especially considering the incredible value compared to similar nearby properties. Staying at the Porter Square Hotel is a no brainer.
Great location: Cambridge was a lovely area to stay in and Porter square has an excellent book shop, coffee shops, restaurants. Really close to the subway so getting to central Boston is easy. The hotel was smart, clean and comfortable.
I stayed at Hotel 1868 for one night for events at Harvard. The hotel is super clean and recently decorated, and was easily able to accommodate my late check-in at 11 pm. Bathroom was nice, Wifi was fast, and location just one T stop from Harvard Square is convenient, plus Porter Square has some of its own restaurants etc. It's not super luxe, but it's really nice, and much better value than Harvard Square hotels which tend to be wildly overpriced.
Brilliant location, walking distance to Porter Square and Harvard Square. Instructions for checking in and accessing the building were clear and staff responded quickly when I had other questions. Very comfortable room and facilities.
As I needed to be in Cambridge for 3 weeks, A Cambridge House Inn was a perfect option for my stay in terms of location, room, and costs. The House is lovely, parking is provided, and the location is close to the bus and metro. Davis Square is the nearest hub for supermarkets, restaurants, buses, and metro. Walking to the next Porter Square and Harvard Square are easy and enjoyable. The staff were helpful, and it was my pleasure having little chats with them over my rather long stay.
Great hotel in Porter Square. Elegant and well designed. The personnel was helpful and kind. The room is on the smaller side, but well designed, and besides perhaps some lack of hanging space, one could find enough place to put things (don't miss the drawers under the bed). Will certainly go back.
