The rooms were great, very clean and so was the location. When I had an issue with my room (the bell & strobe light went on automatically at 830am in the morning), the manager was very quick to reach out to me to find a fix by changing my room to another suite. He seemed deeply apologetic and hands-on about such issues and said they would investigate the same asap. But overall the rooms were high quality, well designed & very new. The front desk was smart, very warm & checked me in very fast.

S.F. Has become unbearable. It is a cesspool. Literally a cesspool! It is fouled beyond belief. If you have nostalgic feelings of S.F. from your childhood my advice to you is to NEVER return! Unless you savor the aroma of fresh and stake human waste your cherished childhood memories will be forever tarnished should you decide to risk your own life to venture back to that God foresaken place!

The location is perfect, especially when I travel with my parents & family (with the oldies). Walking distance to anywhere, eg. Pier 39, Ghirardelli Sq, Washington Park, Lombard St). It also offers many activities for inside or outside the hotel, so super WORTH.
Shoutout to EVA at the reception desk! Amazing service and friendly staff! Breakfast was amazing! We left refreshed and relaxed! The location was central and safe. Easy walking distance to Pier 39 and Chinatown. We will be back!
Great value. Walking distance to North Beach, Chinatown, Ghiradelli Square, even the Ferry Building, Pier 39 and Union Square. If you're tired of walking, take MUNI or the cable car. Beds are comfortable, room is spacious. Bathroom is worn, but not terrible. Parking is free but tight. Larger cars can park on the second level. I live 45 minutes away, and stayed two nights with a friend. I would definitely stay here again since I just need a place to crash for the night. Butter and Crumble is just a few blocks away!

This was my first time staying at a Hostel, let alone having to room with 5 other ladies. I have to tell you I was impressed. Very nice staff, facility was very clean. Met some very nice travelers from New York, Florida, Isreal.I stayed a week and actually intended for another week. Close to Pier 39, Fisherman's warf, Fort Mason.
