Fantastic location if you are arriving by or taking the train from Penn Station or want to explore the Hudson Yards and One Manhattan West complexes. Subway entrance is right on the same block, and Moynihan Train Hall is right across the street on 33rd. The rooftop bar has a lovely view and peacedul ambiance.
I had been interested in checking out Stay Pineapple in Midtown for awhile, and after a couple canceled trips we finally stayed there. In short, it was great value for money, considering everything such as location to Penn Station and nearbyness to things like Times Square, the Empire State Building and Hudson Yards. The room was clean, we were able to check in an hour before check-in actually happened, and the decor is really cool.
The location of the hotel is great, close to Penn Station, as well as subways, and close to Time Square.
The front desk staff is very helpful. I arrived around 12:30pm, and asked if I can early checked-in because I have two baggages. The staff checked that there is one room available and let me checked-in early. This is very helpful for me, since I can go out side without two baggages.
This was the PERFECT location for our family and all the things we wanted to do in Midtown. We were able to walk from Penn Station to our hotel, then from our hotel to the Red steps in Times Square, St.Patrick's Cathedral, Bryant Park, The Portal, NY Public Library, Village Pizza and Kwick Meal the famous falafel cart, and multiple card and gaming shops for my teenage sons. Small details I liked were House music in the elevator, the retro phone and the orange lamp. Staff was friendly. $30 credit at the coffee shop was a nice surprise.
The location is the best part. Walking distance to just about anywhere in Midtown Manhattan, and not too far from Penn Station. It is not a fancy hotel but has all the basics. Clean room, clean bathroom, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast. I think this is more of a 3 star hotel, but anyone familiar with Hampton Inn, Holiday Inn Express, La Quinta Inn, etc., knows what they’re getting.
