Very friendly staff (from doorman, front desk, host of the attached lounge, to the janitor, everyone kind and very service oriented - thank you), lovely room, fantastic seated outdoor balcony (2 seats) as part of the room with great views across the Hudson and Upper East Side.
Very hip piano lounge bar on ground floor with mixed crowd (young and older). Some great restaurants in the vicinity and of course easy access to the various theaters in the vicinity.
There is no room service menu, however, you *can* order food and drinks from the lounge bar and the front desk will then have it sent up - billing was part of my room.

It exceeded expectations. A place of serenity, a safe haven, a retreat in the hustle and bustle of such an active area and so close to Penn Station. They take care of you in every way. Everyone I met there - from the stay's staff to even the guests, everyone was extremely kind and respectful. It was exactly what I needed after traveling during a red eye and being beyond tired. I felt safe and cared for after being very weary.
Great central location! Walkable to Penn Station so subway travel through the city and to and from LGA was a breeze. Staff were really great and helpful. Got us checked in at 11am since our flight arrived so early. Hotel felt very clean!
location location location! just a short stroll to the Penn Station, which was really easy and convenient to get there, especially if you're getting to NYC/Times Square by train/subway. The hotel and rooms are furnished modern, bright, and airy.
We just needed basic hotel accommodations. Rooms were clean, had a mini fridge. The location was great…5 minute walk to Penn station, close to coffee and food shops. Relatively quiet street by NYC standards. I would stay here again
The location was absolutely amazing! Across the street from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station, with a subway stop right outside the front door. So convenient! Comfortable, clean room and the staff was so friendly. We loved the history of the hotel, and it really added to the whole experience. It was exactly what we wanted from our trip to New York.
