This is a lovely, quaint hotel in the centre of Cambria in close proximity to the most amazing shops and restaurants. We were a bit late in arriving (on a road trip) but the check in staff were still there to greet us on arrival and show us to our rooms and the facilities. Love the happy hour idea and the outdoor seating with fire pits means you get to enjoy a relaxing evening. The rooms were spacious, clean and more than what we needed. Would highly recommend eating at Robins (across the road) - fantastic dining experience.

San Simeon has to be one of my favourite stops along the California HWY1 Coast Drive. Hearst Castle is a must, but also, the Sea Lions at Seal Point are also part of the main attraction of this sleepy seaside jewel in the crown of California.

Staff at check in were great and friendly. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Free parking and WiFi great. We stayed for the proximity to Hearst Castle so it did the job for us.
I’ve been in a long roadtrip in California through many hotels, and this is by far the best staff I’ve seen. From check-in to check-out, the service was super friendly and we felt really welcomed.
The hotel is very convenient as a base for south CA1 or for those visiting the Hearst Castle.

The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The hotel is very close to Hearst Castle and along the beautiful California coastline. We were very happy with the price and our stay.
We requested an upstairs room on the quieter side of the hotel. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Our balcony had a lovely view of the hills as well as the ocean. The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated having cable TV. Excellent location for visiting Hearst Castle and Cambria. Beach access within walking distance.

A perfect hotel as a stopover on the way up the coast and near the Hearst Castle. Very peaceful and comfortable, with attractive lawns and firepits overlooking the ocean; a great place to enjoy a lovely twilight.
The hotel is OK if you're on a budget and wish to stay near Cambria, where prices are much higher. Also, very close to Hearst Castle, wich is a great place to visit.
Beautiful hotel with comfortable, clean and big rooms. Super close to Hearst Castle (it was still close during our stay) but it's a great place to stay if you are considering a visit or just coming down Highway 1.
