Upper tier buzzy with trams and hundreds of locals fishing. Lower tier has many restaurants. We ate there twice (once very good and fair prices, the other OK food but ridiculously expensive). Moral is do careful research and check prices, especially fish and drinks. Some places are very pushy.

Avoid eating in one of these restaurants if you want to save your budget! Much better to try the experience of a fishbread on the nearby boats for as little as 50 turkish lira, a very live experience among local people. This makes the difference between a real voyager and a reach tourist

The hotel is near to the main attractions in Istanbul. I can walk to Gulhane Park, Tokkapi museum, Aya Sofia mosque, Blue mosque, Galata Bridge, Galata Tower, Eminonu ferry terminal. The staff are very friendly.
It was everything perfect! The location, our room view was amazing. you look direct to the Galata Bridge. The Service was nice and the staff was every time helpful and very friendly. Especially thanks to Sinan, Harun and Sedat. Such a friendly personal.

The location is right on the beggining of the pietonal that leads to taksim from Galata tower. It is 5 minutes from galata tower and 11 minutes to galata bridge. Streets full of coffee shop, shops and restaurants .
A little far ( 10 minutes ) from the tram that leads to every corner of the city
The breakfast is kinda poor, but you can still find some treats for morning
The view of the Galata bridge and mosques were great. The hotel is close to the attractions and T1 tram. The facilities were great and clean. Mr Sedat and Sinan have been very helpful to us.
Amazing place, the host is very very nice, we had a great time. Very quiet area and close to Fener tram and ferry and easily can take the tram/ferry to reach Eminonu(the center near Galata Bridge)

Highly recommend exploring the different neighborhoods by foot. We walked down to the ferries from our hotel and then hopped on a ferry over to another part of Istanbul (Üsküdar), Then walked around there, had lunch and then took another ferry to a different location (Käbatas). After exploring around there, we took a taxi to Ïstiklal street. We meandered down to Taksïm Square for people watching and then walked all the way to Galata Tower. We finished by walking across the Galata bridge and back through the Sultanahmet area back to our hotel, after stopping at a rooftop restaurant for dinner first.

People can go to any restaurant, but before the order they must confirm the menu price. I found Asia side is not only cheap but you can get good quality restaurants. I advice try to avoid the fish restaurants under the Galata Bridge as they can trap you very easy.
