It’s all about first impression, when I arrived to the hotel around 1.30am the reception told me straight away that I have to wait till check in time which is 2.pm, he could find a solution for me and my family to check in early but instead he told me that he can accommodate me in the suit room if I pay 200 euros which was very disappointed some how he spoke to his manger and drop the price to 100 euros to stay in suit room from 1.30 am to 10am same day, this was a big disappointment that I faced from the first moment and it remained the whole 4 days in me that I have stayed in Istanbul, we will never come to this hotel again because of that staff whom I met from very beginning, I have travel other countries and cities in world and never face such a disappointment and disrespect from hotel staff
But I want to say special thanks to other staffs members who was good to me

This is a boutique property in a terrific location for walking to many of the major sites. The room was large enough, the shower excellent and the breakfast buffet lovely. As other reviews stated, the staff was terrific. Very helpful and accommodating.

Constructed in the 6th century, it originally provided water filtration for the Great Palace of Constantinople, and continued to supply the Topkapi Palace from 1453 until the modern day. Atmospheric.
Atmospheric. Not too busy when we visited, but you won't be alone. Admission fee but worth it. Exit is obvious, entrance around the corner. If there's a queue, say you want to pay with card and you might beat it, as we did.

its a must visit place as while looking at it one wonders the engineering and architect of that time and the kind of efforts which were made to create a nearly hidden, massive cistern. the ticket price of of 350 lira is a bit steep but since Sultanamet ( Blue Mosque) and Hagia Sofia( now when its a mosque) have no tickets, its OK. all are close by and could be visited in all in 2-3 hrs..

the hotel is on a pedestrian street (so there is no traffic), but is very close to the main tourist attractions (Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosk, Basilica Cistern). A lot of restaurants in the area. Walking distance to Grand Bazar, Arasta Bazar and Spice Bazar. You are in the middle of the Sultanahmet area. The hotel has a restaurant with terrace whe you can eat or drink. The staff is very friendly. Very close to the tram station which can get you to other areas of Istanbul and also close to the Marmaray. The hotel is very clean and very quiet.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location is excellent for all the major sights in Istanbul including the blue mosque, Sophia Haggia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar. The breakfast was delicious and there was so much choice. We were also offered free tea and coffee throughout the day. I couldn't have asked for more from the hotel and staff.
We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and had a wonderful experience. The location is fantastic, just a 5-10 minute walk to Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and the nearest tram station. The breakfast provided was quite good, and there are many excellent restaurants nearby. The hotel staff are excellent. The hotel also offers airport shuttle services for a fee and provides helpful information on various tour companies offering different excursions in and around Istanbul.
Very good location, a few minutes walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and Basilica Cistern. Staff was friendly/responsive, they arranged an airport transfer that was on time and the mini fridge worked.
Everything was awesome, especially the location of this hotel, the manager, and the guys at the reception. Everyone, including the cleaning lady, was so friendly and helpful. It felt like a family, and they were always ready to solve any problems we had during our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Istanbul. You can find lots of shops and restaurants just a short walk away. Topkapi, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, and Spice Bazaar are all within a 10-20 minute walk.

A very nice terrace overlooking the main mosques in the area, but also the proximity to the Basilica Cistern, the Topkapi palace and the Gran Bazaar is a plus. The very kind, helpful and attentive personnel, was always ready to address any kind of question/requirement, regardless of the matter, (transport, food, tickets, etc) .
The location couldn't have been more central, just a few minutes on foot from Saint Sofia, the Blue Mosque and the Basilica Cistern. The night life is also vibrant, full of cafes, restaurants and (sweet) shops that just won't let you go.
Everyone in the hotel was extremely helpful and welcoming, meeting all our requests and getting stuff booked for us whenever we asked. We went through them for a Bosphorus Cruise and for a Turkish bath and everything was perfect, including transfers. We were truly pampered.
Magnaura Palace review - spotlessly clean, breakfast buffet with great views; roof top view and picnic area; owner and front desk staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of local attractions; their English is excellent and they have good connections to local guides, restaurants, and taxis. The location is super convenient to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace , Hippodome, and metro tram. Host even loaned their Istanbul Metro card for the day.
