We absolutely loved our stay at Akanthus. The property was as beautiful as the pictures show. It was so inviting, cozy and clean! The beds are so comfortable, the courtyard is like a magazine, and the owners are so extremely hospitable. Breakfast was delicious. There was even a fire for us to sit by, which was perfect for the winter weather! We just wished we had booked more nights to stay a bit longer.

It is like home away from home. The set up is basic but clean. Bugra is woking with his wife and young families showing us around Ephesus, Sirince village and St Mary’s church. Bugra is very knowledgeable about the history not only in Izmir but general world history as well.

Not much left after the last earthquake but worth the visit.
Not much left after the last earthquake but worth the visit. Unfortunately I arrived to view very late in the day. Not good if you are on your own as there were some folk trying to harrass me into buying books, pamplets etc. Felt uncomfortable and uneasy. If you're on your own, visit during the day as many tours go through there.

A significant place if you like your history, even though there is not much left. Free to enter but because of this there are annoying sellers targeting tourists with overpriced books and tat. Funny how they leave other Turks alone...
He (property owner) is one of the best guides and owner I've ever seen before.
Kind of funny and explain meticulously about every sightseeing around the hotel.
The location is very good because Artemis Temple in the walking distance.
Harry and his family were very friendly and helpful. They have created a warm and welcoming place to stay which is convenient for all the sights. The breakfast on the lovely rooftop terrace was excellent and the view fantastic, including views of the Artemis temple.
We were traveling on bikes which Harry allowed us to safely lock up in the courtyard.
We would definitely recommend this as a great place to stay in Selçuk.

The location is close to Efeses ancient city，about 10 min drive.
The best host you may ever meet. Really awesome guy who will explain you everything and guide though local places of interest. Very nice and cozy hotel right near Efes and Artemis Temple. Closed parking, so you are not afraid for your car.
