I loved the heated pool and the fact that they also had 2 jacuzzi’s. The food was excellent and the staff was very nice. I would definitely come back. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the mountain air, the sun and the pool at the same time.

First of all, we did get an upgrade on our room to a kingly room - and I can't remember what their title is for that room, unfortunately. It was fantastic. We really felt like kings there. And had plenty changes to make our steps for the day just by walking in that apartment! So yes, if you are looking for a claustrofobic place - this would not be it.
Great bathroom (literally), two large beds, a large couch and a desk, a gigantic balcony - everything was superlative.
We will definitely come back.

Hanul Bran has a nice location —looking out from the balcony, you’ve got Bran Castle right there! The outside of the hotel looks nice, and the staff is friendly, which makes you feel welcome.
Everything was wonderful! Service and host were very nice and helpful, room was comfy and clean. There is a parking next to the Vila. Hotel is located in a calm place, where is no crowds, but still really close to the Bran castle. Highly recommend!
The strong points of the hotel: it is very close to the Bran castle, it has parking in the yard with enough places, clean rooms with facilities corresponding to a 3-star hotel. Check-in was done in record time. I had booked 3 single rooms and all had double beds. The TV had many channels.
Bran Castle is also known as Dracula's Castle but there is no real link with either the historical or fictional Dracula. Nevertheless, the view from the hotel is spectacular. The hotel's restaurant is very good: try the platter of local cheeses with the Fume Blanc white wine. (Unlike in the UK, a cheese board is considered to be a starter in Romania.) Breakfast was huge - I think we only managed to eat about 30% of it. The staff were exceptionally helpful. Off-street parking is available at the back of the hotel.
The hotel is located less than 10 minutes by car from Bran castle. It has a free parking. The room is very clean and comfortable. There are shared terraces at every floor, as well as comfy sofa and fridges. The view of the mountains is beautiful. The staff is incredibly friendly, the hotel is run by a family and they treat like you are part of it. The breakfast is outstanding. I have rarely enjoyed my stay as much anywhere. I couldn't recommend it more.
The hotel is a bit older and you can see it on it. However, it is in a beautiful location, with direct views of Bran Castle from the restaurant and balconies. And I must mention the bed - huge and comfortable. There is also a really nice staff, the best we have met during our stay in Romania. The food in the restaurant tastes great (we had pasta, ribs and lava cake). I prefer a sweet breakfast, so I didn't eat much, but my boyfriend was satisfied (there was an interesting selection of canapes and egg dishes). :)
