We were only in Lisbon for one night during our trip and stayed at Hotel Hotel and were disappointed we wouldn't have more nights to stay there! The hotel itself is very modern and cool and the staff were SO nice and helpful. We were upgraded to a junior suite which was also very nice of them and the room was very clean and comfortable. The pool/outside area is just absolutely stunning with all of the plants and we were able to relax out there for a little while and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location of the hotel was also in great proximity to things. We would have loved to have had more time to explore Lisbon and more nights here, but would definitely recommend it and/or stay again if we visit Lisbon again! Fun fact - there's a trendy tattoo studio below the hotel (by appointment only) if you're looking to get a tattoo while you're in Lisbon!

I made this reservation on a whim without checking out much about it other than location. Afterwards, I thought it might be a bit old and stodgy. Instead I found myself immersed in an exciting portion of Portuguese/Lisbon history. My room (#13) was massive, elegant, super comfortable and clean but also included information about the history of the building and the original owners of the hotel. Where a lot of travel experiences are becoming homogenized, this hotel has a true authentic spirit that seeped into my soul. Having jet-lag and very hot days outside, I spent a lot of time in the room during the day and it could not have been more quiet (despite construction directly across the street!) and comfortable with temperature controls at my whim. The staff is very friendly and ready to help you at all times of the day. The morning buffet appeared small on first glance compared to other hotels but it was truly quality over quantity with everything being fresh and the fruit perfectly ripe, and the staff super attentive. The hours also allow for early risers or late sleepers being available to noon! And location, location, location... loads of hip healthy type restaurants, easy access to airport, very pleasant walk to the water and for those with energy, an interesting walk back up through the trendy Principe Real area. I walked everywhere from here but the metro is close, people are on bikes, foot-scooters, tuk-tuks...
