Everything about this hotel is exceptional. The attention to detail in terms of the decor and every aspect of customer service is like nothing I have experienced anywhere in the world. The moment you walk into the hotel, you feel at home and the staff make you feel instantly welcomed. The food served in the hotel restaurant is outstanding - its almost difficult to leave the hotel to explore the city, however it is so easy to do this as the hotel is perfectly located for exploring the waterfront and the city centre.

The hotel was well situated in walking and seeing attractions and restaurants. Some of the staff, Sara and Kiki were most kind and helpful. The breakfast was very good. Plus, we were able to do laundry, very helpful since we are traveling for 2 months. The room has wooden floor which makes it cleaner. But the locations was a mixed experienced.

Bryggen
These colourful wooden houses line the harbour and form one of the most iconic districts in Bergen. A physical reminder of the trade conducted here from the 14th to mid-16th century, the bright white, yellow, red and blue wooden buildings are a beautiful contrast to the icy North Sea. Take some photos and then explore the little alleyways, where you’ll find quirky galleries and cute cafés.

Loved walking through this old area of Bergen and seeing these historical buildings. Worth taking the time to do some homework, or a tour, on the history of these buildings. This way you'll appreciate what you're seeing more.

Classic area with fish market and the multi-colored buildings and old town. Very touristy. Would recommend going early in the morning or evening but not eating in this area as the prices are generally inflated.

Many nice shops to find some special items.
Many nice shops to find some special items. Make sure to go down the side streets and go in and out of the special shops hidden off the Main Street. Everyone was so helpful and kind to us. It was very rainy the day we were there but still nice.

2. Explore the alley ways on the foreshore
3. Don’t bother with the Bergen Card. You will never see enough to return the card cost
4. Walk everywhere as there is no effective public transport.

The apartment was immaculate and like a hotel with robes and indoor slippers, as well as rugs, nibbles and drinks available to purchase etc. Very well provisioned kitchen, cute little lounge area and the location was great - it was a relatively short distance to Bryggen. The sun streamed in the windows in the afternoon. Our host Rolf was great.
Excellent location, just a few minutes' walk to Bryggen. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff was friendly and helpful. Spacious room, and the breakfast was superb—probably the best I've had at any Scandic hotel.
Quiet, in a great location very close to Bryggen, very comfortable room. Parking facilities available a short walk from the hotel for a reasonable price.
The apartment is clean & very spacious (bedroom, living room, wash room).
The location is in the heart of Bergen, in the shopping area.
Bryggen, cable car to mt.floyen are less than 10min walk, supermarkets are also near.
On arrival, we got an unexpected upgrade so that we had the benefit of an extra large room, which was spotlessly clean and very quiet. The location the hotel is unbeatable: right opposite the station (2 minutes to the platform), or 3 minutes to the tram, which also takes you to the airport.
The center of Bergen starts around the corner from the hotel, and the historic quarter Bryggen and the harbour is only about a 10 minute walk away.
Very convenient: The "umbrella" service at the reception (because it rains a lot in Bergen)
The place was very comfortable. Everything was clean and in place. Even though we had the apartment on the ground floor, it had a lot of light. The location is good, 15min walk to Bryggen, there’s a grocery shop just around the corner, and the bus station is an 8min walk.
Perfect location in the heart of the city, Bryggen and fish market are just a minute away. The house used to be an old stock exchange that has been converted to a hotel, preserving some of the historic elements, including a large trade floor that now serves as a restaurant.
Great location in Bryggen which is the historic part of the city. Hotel is opposite the quayside where you get the ferries, and close to the Floibanen funicular railway. The hotel is large and quite busy, but staff we dealt with were all friendly & helpful. We had a free upgrade on our booking to a business class room which was quite large, so not sure what standard rooms are like.
Breakfast was very good with lots of options.
Well located hotel, 5 minutes walking from the train and bus station and 10 minutes from Bryggen. you risk flooding the bathroom when taking a shower. Very good breakfast.
Great location in the 19th-century part of town. Very central - easy to reach everything on foot. Yet, the apartment is well removed from the tourist masses around Bryggen. Spacious apartment with minimalist equipment that has it all. Special mention for the very complete supply of dry foods and hygiene/cleaning products., some probably left behind by other guests, many supplied by the owner.

The historic Bryggen sector, remnant of an active Hansa-league international trade dating from the 1300s, gives you the feel of what the city was like in the 1700s. Nothing else like it.
