It was below expectations, house keeping needs serious improvement because the cleaning was bad ! No one to help with the luggage which is weird for any well known hotel ! Moreover room dining closes at 10 pm ! And we need to take our laundry to the reception ! Definitely we will not recommend nor stay again in this hotel

Spreading for hundreds of miles from the mouth of the Oslofjord, Oslo is the largest city by area in Europe and is liberally covered in pristine forests rising up into the outlying hills. South of the unassuming city hall lies a vibrant waterfront known as Aker Brygge, which in summer is full of bustling outdoor restaurants and bars.
For the prettiest buildings head to affluent inner-city suburbs of Frogner and Fagerborg, or admire the traditional Scandinavian wooden houses of Bygdøy and Holmenkollen. Monumental buildings include the Royal Palace which runs daily tours and the Akershus Festning, which is a medieval castle that also served as a military base and provides impressive views of the Oslofjord. Oslo City Hall, or rådhus, offers even more distinctive architecture and it is the location of the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony.
Nature is never far away in Oslo which is ringed by an archipelago of islands which are extremely popular in summer. Hiking, kayaking and sailing are all easily achievable within the city limits. Just as popular are the many museums. The national Museum houses Edvard Munch’s famous painting The Scream and Viking Ship Museum containing long-lost relics from Norway’s Viking past.
From downtown Sentrum to the Oslo Airport Gardermoen to the stunning statues in Frogner Park, Booking.com has over 80 hotels and other accommodations available.

Only a few things to see in Oslo - if you wanted to get deep and visit lots of museums and restaurants, perhaps 2 to 3 days would be enough. If you wanted to see a couple things and just walk around town, 1 to 2 days would suffice.
Definitely visit the part where the palace is and the opera house. We visited the Fram museum, which was excellent. There are other museums to see, but we didn't get to them. Walking around the town was fun, too.

The apartment is fairly close to the center.
The apartment is fairly close to the center. The main bus station (Oslo Bussterminal) is around the corner, 5 mins walk and an entrance to the main train station, Oslo S, at the other end of the bus station is 10 mins walk. To get to the harbour area, you go down Platous gate and take a footbridge over the train tracks, around 10 mins walk. There you find the new Barcode quarter, the Munch museum, Deichmann's library and the Opera house, and the DFDS ferry terminal. This is all fairly close to the train station square, Jernbanetorget, where the main shopping street begins. On the other side is old (gamle) Oslo, and south over the footbridge is a short walk to Ekeberg, a mostly wooded area. 5 mins walk north leads to Aker elva, a surprisingly clear stream in the heart of the city.

It's a nice city to visit but I would not recommend doing Oslo by itself. Maybe combine with a trip to the fjords on the West Coast, visiting other Scandinavian countries, or (as we did) a Baltic cruise. Akershus Castle highly recommended.

Oslo is a vivd and modern city.
Oslo is a vivd and modern city. You would hardly find old buildings around it. It's all bout architecture and skyscrapers. So, if you admire modern architecture, it's defenitely a catch.
My favourite sight was the National Gallery with a number of interesting displays and amazing staff who seemed personally involved in enhancing your experience. One more thing to 100% add to your bucket list is theDeichman Bjorvika library.
The unpleasant thing is that similarly to other scandinavian countries the food is pretty expensive in Oslo. So, if one is travelling on a budget, they might need to spend extra time researching affordable food options.
I personally enjoyed the well-developed system for getting around the city by bike. I didn't use the public transport so much, but the express train from the airport seemed very conveneient and nice.
The city seems very diverse like a patchwork quilt. Some districts are distinguished and posh, others are unerground and artsy. During this trip I stayed near the Akerselva river and cannot say it was my favourite experience. The district seemed to noisy and a bit ditry and I thought all of Oslo was like this until I started discovering other areas.
The hotel is very good and modern design. The room is quite big and comfort. The staffs of reception are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is served very good breakfast and lots oof choice. The location is good and just few minutes to walk to metro station. The airport bus is just stop front if door. The 4 stay hotel seems as 5 stars hotel. I am sure I will back to this hotel when I travel to Oslo again.
A big pro, that it is few minutes walking distance from the city center, form the harbour. Restaurants are not that much close by, but not that far. WiFi was great, no complaining. Check-in/out was easy and fast, that other hotels have to copy that method, I was absolutely satisfied with everything. Next time I will choose larger room, because was too small.
It's in the city centre and can go to most of the sightseeing places on foot. There was a tram stop just on the opposite to the hostel. You can buy breakfast at the hotel next to it. Even though the fee for the buffet breakfast was very high, the varieties of choices deserved to its price.
