It’s a lovely, quiet oasis. I liked that there is a community kitchen and fridge, and you just mark how many drinks you’ve taken from the fridge and settle up later.

The staff was incredible and made us feel welcomed and special. The location is perfect, on the quieter side of Zicatela so you can enjoy what it feels like a private beach and when you want to go to the buzz, walk about 1km and be at La Punta where tons of restaurants, bars and a very busy side of the beach is.
The food and drinks were INCREDIBLE. We pretty much ate there all the time. And finally, the place is stunning.

Get up early in the morning to watch the surfers. There are a few coffee shops open very early so you can sit and enjoy your coffee while watching the younguns riding the waves.

Excellent location on Zicatela Beach, just across the street from the beach. Very modern hotel, very clean, great maid service. Price is reasonable for the room and location. Free breakfast every day is great. Front desk staff is very attentative, greets you every time you pass by. Great free beach towel for the beach or around their 2 pools. AC in every room is good, needed for hot climate.
The staff and the owner were outstanding! They treated us with kindness and warmth. The place was very near Zicatela beach and there were lots of restaurants, massage places, beauty salons, minimarts, etc., on the same street. We just took a stroll on Zicatela beach because swimming is not recommended there. Instead, we took a taxi and went to Carrizalillo beach, a 20 minute drive from Casa Piedra Parada.
It’s very central so you can easily walk to all interesting places. There’s a lot of restaurants around open till very late at night. The staff is friendly and they’re always happy to help. My room had a good air conditioning and a beautiful view of the Zicatela beach and a nice balcony where you can watch the sun rising over the hills. I liked it a lot.
I like so much the Selina's style. Specially Puerto Escondido is excellent. They have plenty options not only shared rooms, a restaurant, the bar (tasty mixology), two swimming pools, other bar at the roof top with a nice view to the beach, the library, the kitchen, the wellness area. Everyday day have different activities like karaoke, cinema, among others. It can be a party place but also a place to rest. The best, it is located in front of Zicatela beach, I loved It.
The staff was very polite and the location is incredibly central, making it easy to get to anywhere along the Zicatela beach by walking. We did have hot water in our room so that was a nice unexpected bonus. Also, the resident hotel cat, Rahoul, was the highlight of our stay!
Clean, spacious, and located in a perfectly quiet nook of Zicatela beach. Please note that you need a transport (car or scooter) to get around places at Puerto Escondido.
The Hotel Santa Fe is our go to place when visiting Puerto Escondido. Hotel Santa Fe is a lovely, colonial style hotel with beautiful pools, terrace and directly across the street from Zicatela beach. Our favorite part of Hotel Santa Fe is the wonderful on site restaurant- hands down one of the best restaurants in Puerto Escondido! Can’t wait to come back!
The location of this hotel is the best thing going. It is right in the heart of Zicatela Beach but was quiet for sleeping and it is right next to a great restaurant called Elephant Garden. I was hoping to use the pool area (which looks like the best feature there), but ran out of time. Internet is so so if you have to work. There is drinking water provided in the hallway to fill water bottles, but none in the room. Staff was kind but not overly friendly. The room was clean, but several issues upon check in.
La Playita is like a beautiful oasis in the midst of the Zicatela beach area of Puerto Escondido!! the bed was super cozy - the staff helpful and the energy of the whole place is so beautiful
