location. fewer rooms than mega resorts, so easy to enter, exit to room, pool, beach, parking. breakfast is a good deal if purchased included with room. bad deal if purchased separately. staff was nice. great location, especially if you dont want to leave much. all hotels, restaurnats bars, near by. we rented car and actually stayed elsewhere for 2 nites (tulum area, and Valladolid. although we paid for full 7 days. compared to other ones, it seemed reasonably priced. few kids, thats a plus. steps to beach. well lit, well guarded.

The location of the hotel is great if you would like to avoid the noises of the clubs in the center, even though they are pretty close (it’s less than 10 min with an Uber). It’s also close to one of the public beach of the cities (15 mins walking). The pool on the rooftop is amazing, with a bar as well. They have several long chairs, offer towels and the food/cocktails are good.
At each floor they also have a water station to refill purified water.
Breakfast is also good, with different options (savory and sweet). They also make fresh omelets in front of you if you like them. We’d recommend it and go back.

First it’s not expensive at $20 per person after they gave us gin & scotch!
$1000US for a table is highway robbery!!! They also have a shooter girl who drinks shots and adds it to your bill! Any drinks outside the gin & scotch are really expensive. The butlers stole my wallet out of Andrea’s zipped up purse! 15000 pesos, 3 credit cards, 2 debit cards, 3 grams of blow and my health card from Canada 🇨🇦 Coco Bongos never go it’s a complete rip off!!!

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM AND A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. They'll try to overcharge you with free drinks and a table and inside there are no enough tables and they charge you again for the drinks. It was a terrible night where the staff and security people treated us poorly and laughed at us. The next night we went to Mandala Beach and we had a great time. Save your precious time and go directly there and avoid Coco Bongo.

don't let them pre open the bottles. they have fake seals and are watered down! we literally drank rum right out of the bottle like it was water.. if they could be honest about the booze it would eaisly be a 5/5 rating, but when they rip you off, you don't get the value for your money and its just poor business...

The food and the staff are very supportive. The location is good but you would need a Uber to access the downtown or the Coco Bongo area. The pool is awesome but small.
We really liked the ocean view. It was close to Coco Bongo and that was a plus because we could easily walk to that shopping area. We had bad weather but we felt safe in the condo.
Best service, accommodating in many languages. Best beach in Cancun including Isla Mujeres, everyone agrees, and Playa forum is right next door for waves. Easy walk to Coco Bongo area nightlife. Expert tour booker, Irma Barradas, right in the lobby, will make your day! Very convenient facilities like convenience store open til 11pm. Two great straightforward traditional restaurants, fun cocktails and seafood, you must try the sopepillas before doing anything else. Run, do not walk to the sopepillas and tip the friendly staff well!
This property had soooo many things to do to keep you occupied we loved the Riu parties and pool activities they had every single day, Miguel was amazing shoutouts to him for keeping the family entertained as well! We also were very close to the strip where all the fun things to do were like coco bongo beach party was a must we can’t wait to go back
A non all-inclusive hotels with direct beachfront access from the property. The view of the ocean from the balcony and being able to hang out from the balcony with the doors wide open felt amazing.
