The best thing about the whole stay was the hotel staff, especially the two receptionists - Ognjen and Peter, who were extremely welcoming and helpful. Ognjen got in touch with me beforehand and helped us with a room upgrade. Thanks to his help, we were able to keep the same upgraded room for the whole stay (we had 2 bookings) for a lower price. The room had a good size balcony and an amazing view on the city, mountains, and seaside. The hotel is in a very good location, 20 minutes' walk from the magnificent Mogren beach.

I’ve been living in Montenegro for a few years, and most hotels are similar, so I didn’t expect much when I booked Merit Hotel. However, it exceeded all my expectations!
The location is amazing—it’s close to the coast and the old town of Budva, so there are plenty of great places to explore nearby. Parking in Budva is tough, but the concierge handles it for you, which is a huge convenience.
From the moment we arrived, everything was smooth and welcoming. The receptionist greeted us warmly, and the check-in process was quick. While we were waiting for the paperwork, they served us champagne, tea, and sweets—it was such a nice gesture and made us feel right at home. Afterward, the lovely Snezhana showed us to our room and answered all our questions.
The service here is exceptional. Every staff member is polite, professional, and speaks excellent English. You can tell they genuinely care about making your stay perfect. The whole team works hard to deliver a top-tier experience, and their efforts are evident in every detail. The hotel even created a WhatsApp group for us with all the information we needed, and responses to any questions were almost instant. It’s such a smart, modern approach!
Our room had a panoramic view of the old town and was stunnins, spacious—I felt like I could get lost in it, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful details. We even received a complimentary pyramid of sweets and fruits, which made us feel truly welcome.
The spa was cozy and relaxing. It’s not very large and doesn’t have a swimming pool, but it was still fantastic. The sauna was great, and the hammam was the best I’ve tried in Montenegro—properly hot and steamy.
Our stay at Merit Hotel was amazing. Even though we only stayed for one night, it felt like a proper mini-vacation. I left feeling completely relaxed and refreshed. If I had to choose between one night at Merit or several nights at another hotel, I’d choose Merit without a doubt. I can’t wait to come back!

Do not visit this beach. It was completely rammed all day although the views are nice this is shortlived! Mogren beach 2 has lots of large slippy rocks in the shallows of the far end of the beach and we found it very dangerous when trying to get in and out of the sea.

The apartment was spotless, with a nice balcony and very good value for money. The housekeeper was an incredibly helpful, kind and friendly lady who made us feel right at home, even if she did not speak English.
It was only a 10 minute walk to old town, and 15 minutes to Mogren beach.
The apartments are located in the center, you can reach the beach easily 5 minutes walking the closest one and my favorite Mogren Beach 15 minutes walking, lot’s of supermarkets and restaurants around, the apartment is equipped with everything you need to have a nice stay, the personal very helpful and kind, highly recommended 😊
Location is great. Near to Old town and Mogren beach (best beach in that area at my taste). Also there are few Supermarkets and good restaurants near. Host is kind and welcoming. Apartments are clean and have all necessary for leaving on a vacation.
So in a bottomline I would say that if the price tag if affordable for you then don't even think, book immediately :).
I liked everything, the apartments are small but comfortable, there is everything you need for a good rest. The Slovenian beach, the old part of Budva, Mogren beach, it's all within walking distance.
The owner is pleasant and communicative. They allowed early check-in (7-00) and late check-out (20-00). There is a shop, a bakery, a market and a fish shop not far away. Across the road from the apartments there are many restaurants located along the Slovensky beach.
Masa is a very friendly, proactive and helpful host! She provided us with supplies to help dry our clothes after we got caught in the rain and allowed us to leave her bags with her family while we spent the day in Budva. The apartment is very clean and well provisioned with a covered balcony. It's also close to the main bus station and a 20 minute walk to Mogren beach.
The main assets of this apartment are the rooftop terrace with a view of the coast and the lovely hosts. We really enjoyed the relaxed evenings on the terrace and the hosts advised on shopping/dining possibilities etc. The apartment was spacious enough for a family with comfortable beds and working air conditioners - everything was in order and fine. Free parking for Mogren beach is nearby. And a special crush goes to the cat who checked us on regual bases ;)
2-bedroom apartment was very nice, clean, well equipped with everything needed. Marko is a kind host with good communication, helped us with transfer from the airport. This apartment was located few streets away from the location shown in the map, but it didnt bother us as it was next to bakery, supermarkets, bus station, and easy walk about 20 minutes to mogren beach and to the old town. We would stay here again.
The woman who looks after the apartment is such a lovely person. The location is great, only a 2 minute walk to the supermarket and short walk into the old town/Mogren beach. The room is spacious, clean and modern. The wifi worked perfectly with no issues. Everything was perfect!

A good advice for visiting the beaches: the beach with view on Sveti Stefan is much more beautiful and more quiet than Mogren Beach. ( advice from a nice lady of Sweet dreams in old Budva.. try the cake there)
