My wife & I stayed at the Castle for 3 nights & our overall experience was terrific!
From the moment we arrived, the staff could not do enough for us. When the showed us to our room we were blown away, great size with panoramic views over Kandy city. Great air conditioning, super bathroom.
The food in the restaurant was really good & particular, the breakfast is top class! What was so good was, that if we wanted food that was not on the menu, just ask & the will
Make given time. Some people of note, Ashiru, was a great young lad who looked after us so well in the restaurant during our stay. Kumesh the manager was very good, he made sure that everything was really smooth for us. Vishwa the hotel driver was very good at getting us to where we wanted to go at a reasonable price.
Finally Koshi, the owner of the Castle, was wonderful!
She spent time chatting with us & getting to know us, which was very nice.
She also took time out of her busy schedule, to take us to her favourite spa, where we all got very nicely pampered. Thank you for that Koshi 😁

Absolutely stunning view of Kandy. Staff super friendly and helpful. They managed to book us 2 tickets on the Kandy to Ella train despite it being sold out everywhere which we’re grateful for. Breakfast and dinner both delicious.

This is the one of the nicest parts of Kandy to walk - however please take note Kandy Tourist association that the area surrounding the water of the lake needs cleaning regularly to ensure the wildlife continues to flourish. Please keep it clean either with paid employees or gather some volunteers to regularly get rid of the rubbish coming down the river into the lake and surrounding areas

Hotel is high on hill at the end of Kandy Lake so it provides a more peaceful and restful stay away from the City whilst within walking distance to the Temple of the Tooth and the Kandyan Dance Centre.
The hotel is a family run business. They were wonderful in the quality of the hospitality they provided. The general staff were always polite and helpful. The rooms had fantastic views of Kandy Lake. I would highly recommend this hotel. Also, a big Thank You to the family who helped us with a personal matter.
The staff are kind and they make amazing breakfast. AC was good too. The location was the best part of this hotel, as you're able to walk to the city center within 30 mins, and it's a beautiful walk along Kandy lake.
Right by Kandy Lake with amazing views. It was the best shower we had in Sri Lanka. Really cool pool looking across the lake. Breakfast was a buffet with lots to choose from.
Extremely clean structure, as soon as you walk in you can smell a lovely soap scent! The room was well lit, very clean and had a nice balcony view towards the Buddha temple. The shower had great pressure and hot water (never to be taken for granted in Sri Lanka!). It’s about 15 minutes walk up the hill from the Kandy lake so it’s very quiet. Also it happened to be extremely close to the home of a lovely family that hosts authentic cooking classes :)
Very comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is delicious with barista coffee. The location is great - within walking distance of the temple and Kandy Lake. An added bonus is the complimentary transfer to the train station - much appreciated as it was one less thing to plan. Highly recommend staying here.
Really nice hotel with Kandy lake view. The room was clean and confortable. Breakfast and food in restaurant was delicious. And in menu you would find something based on your taste.

Considering that we were in the rainy season, the room was warm and comfortable. Hot water was always available.
High-speed internet in the room allowed us to work.

We had a very early check-out and the manager took us to the train station at 6 am.

Kandy Lakeside Escape is an exceptional hotel. Its very clear and neat. All amenities are available inside the room. Host is very friendly. I really enjoyed my stay. I would recommend this to anyone.
