Our room was a partial sea view room with king sized bed - it was huge, spotlessly clean and had a fantastic balcony. It was so beautiful and had a great view (possibly better than the full sea view in my opinion!) We really loved the pool area, it's idilic and very big! We also loved the gym, there are machines and free weights for a variety of workouts. The breakfast was SO GOOD, everything you could want! We originally didn't book for breakfast as we didn't know if we would make it due to jet lag but I'm so pleased we got up in time both mornings we were there! The staff are fabulous, they were always friendly and helpful. We got a hotel car transfer from the airport, the gentleman was waiting for us as we arrived (even though our flight was delayed), it took about 45 mins and was very easy after a long haul flight - I would recommend this option. I am trying to persuade my partner to let us stay here again the night before our flight home for another slice of tasty, clean, heaven!

A good mattress and aircon. A good shower. Thick window blinds for a good night's sleep in a well darkened room and, being on the 7th floor, well away from the noise of the Colombo streets. Very handy restaurants and bars nearby and a good shop for buying souvenirs and clothing in The Fort (Odel). A 15 minute walk to Galle Face Green and a 15 minute walk to the Pettah Market
The hotel was clean and cool with lots of nice shared spaces to relax. The staff were very welcoming and happy to help with any questions. It is also in a great location and in short walking distance to Old Fort Station, Dutch hospital, Pettah market and Galle Face Green. Supermarket just around the corner and plenty of places to eat on all budgets.
Stunning hotel that takes your back in time, with original colonial era building and patina to go with it. The service on arrival was exceptional, and the room itself was amazing and big, with a huge comfortable double bed. Listening to the waves from bed is a joy. Location on Galle Face Green is perfect to excite Colombo from.
The location is excellent, right next to the Dutch Hospital and Galle Face Green in walking distance. We used it as a convenient stopover to spend the afternoon and evening before heading to the airport at 11 pm. We received a room upgrade due to the issues mentioned below. The upgraded room was spacious with a good shower.

A lovely hotel with character. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful, food was good. We came for a wedding in the Victorian Suite which was organised very well. Good location at the end of Galle Face Green and not far from the railway station. Couldn’t fault it and would stay again.

This was the best accommodation and highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. It was spacious and whole family enjoyed as it was walking distance to Galle Face greens, One Galle Face mall and Restaurants and anything we need. Hope to go back there in our next trip.
