The innkeeper is a kind man who picked me up from the station and dropped me off there the following day. The rooms are basic, simple, and clean. There is a perfectly 42ºC private onsen. I had a quiet and relaxing stay.

Excellent host! Has an onsen inside too, free! Far from the main shopping area, but they offer pickup at 6pm from the main Yufuin Station (which I didn't know, I walked so far, but it's ok, exercised!)
Also offers breakfast for $5!
Other than that, everything is great! Host has been hosting for 18 years now with his wife! So you also have a native host!

-Wonderful private Onsen is available. Two types to choose.
-Staff is very helpful and his english is very good. He offered us the service to drive to train station. That really helps saving our time and energy!

Nice property with spacious rooms with private onsen. Delicious breakfast and Kaiseki dinner. Free pre-arranged shuttle to and from hotel to Yufuin Station.
Everything! Especially Assi the kitty. very curious. very welcoming. The room was super clean and neatly organized. It even looks better then the photos! With balcony! The manager/owner was super nice and helpful and full of energy. The hot bath can be used privately (you changed the door tag to ‘closed’ when using). Equipped kitchen. Shared toilets and face washing basin were clean all the time and smell nice! The accomodation itself is within walking distance from Yufuin Station and very close to a big Lawson like 3 mins walk!
the location is very near to the Yufuin station and place to see and do. the onsen was good. the staff is kind and doing their job very well even when we arrived late at night. the dog and cat is very friendly and clean.
The dinning room is quite and has good view, and dinner and breakfast were very delicious. the ryokan owner was kind and gave support when we requested. Last day he gave extra service to send us to Yufuin station. it was enjoyable stay at Takeya.
The room is large and have its own onsen inside , the Ryokan 's facilities are great also the mountain view is wonderful within a walking distance from Yufuin station
but most of all the things that so impress us is the owner he is very helpful and kind to us , he give us coffee , apple juice and drive us to Yufuin station for free Arigato and sorry again for our late check in if we have a change to visit Yufuin , we will stay at your Ryokan again for sure Thank you so much
