This little ryokan is exceptional. Cozy, clean rooms, lovely bath facilities, and wonderful owners. It’s just a short walk from Yudanaka Station. If I come back to ski or see the snow monkeys, I would definitely stay here again.
Located very close to Yudanaka Station, responsive staff, well heated room, indoor Onsen and sauna included. Inside the hotel there is an Izakaya restaurant on 1st floor
The room was big and the view of the river and mountains were great. The garden overlooking the onsen looked magical in the snow. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. They provided transport to and from Yudanaka station and Snow monkey park. Even did a small detour to a scenic spot for some photos. Totally enjoyed the highly traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast. The late night walk in the town after the onsen bath was magical.
The guest house was a peaceful 20 min walk from Yudanaka station, winding through orchards and green houses. The common room was amazingly rustic with an firewood-based heating system. It was nice to lounge about and chat with other travelers. The quilt and blanket in the bedroom was sufficient to keep me warm on a sub-zero night. The breakfast of udon with pork, scallops, mushrooms, onions, an egg and a vegetable fritter, accompanied by a side of pumpkin, tea, and slices of pear was exquisite and very filling.

Great proximity to Yudanaka Station. Lovely personal touches such as an illustrated breakfast menu & matcha served upon arrival. The Momoyama bath is not to be missed & the staff is very kind with language disparity.
The property is at the center of Shibu Onsen. We were fetched from Yudanaka station. There was also a shuttle to a nearby onsen hotel. The staff - Daisuke san patiently waited for us going to Snow Monkey Park.
The location is very near Yudanaka station and easy to find. The hotel room is really nice and spacious. The hot spring bath indoor and outdoor is also good. Hotel staff is friendly, helpful and nice.
The hotel hot springs far exceeded anything I could imagine. Both dinner and breakfast were extraordinary. Staff even gave us a ride to the Yudanaka Station after we checked out.
