Everything was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was large and spotless. They held our luggage prior to check in and after check out. Every amenity was provided. Child friendly and quiet.

We had a great experience at The Junei. The staff is simply amazing and hotel is tucked in a quiet area with a great coffee shop located around the corner and a pastry shop next door. After the busy crowded site seeing days in Kyoto it was nice to come back to what feels like a very local neighborhood. We walked to dinner a few nights and loved the local crowds (kids loved the chain restaurant Gyoza No Osho). We had a family style room for our family of four and it was perfect! The onsen bath was amazing! If you want a hotel that isn’t loaded with tourists this is a great place to stay.
