The hotel is very close to the train/bus Station. We stayed in a small flat really well equipped. We even had a washing machine and several complementary drinks.

The hotel fully lives up to its name. Lots of various wooden furniture and decorations are used. The hotel is new, with modern design, focused on wood. You can even smell it in your room.

Great location super close to the train station so you’re not having to lug your bags around. The main “old town” street is about a 15 minute walk which was awesome. The whole town is so flat so very family/stroller friendly. We stayed in the suite so we had the whole top floor to ourselves! The bathroom was great for little kids as well with a nice big wooden tub (it was hot during the summer so the kids used it as “mini pool” in the afternoon to cool off and relax). The staff were kind and booked our dinner for us because most things seem to close early once they reach capacity.

Absolutely beautiful and highly recommended for all tourists. It is worth staying at a Ryokan but pricey. Most attractions close 4pm so come early to make the most of the day. Buy tickets for bus services in advance which is the most direct route.

The hostel is about 10 min walk from Shirakawago Bus Station. There is a convinience store in front of the hostel. The female dorm has only 4 beds, and the bathroom is clean. Free towels provided.

It’s really a nice and worth place to stay. I really happy that i got my luck to stay in this hostel. The hostel owner and staff is a friendly and mindful person. They will provide the pickup service between the station and the hostel, even the shirakawago also.
I stay on the day of light-up even, I am luckily able to get the ticket also.
I feel 120% good to stay here and many thanks for anything provided by the hostel ( transport and food)
The guesthouse is very simple but very clean and has everything. It is one of the few available in Shirakawago and from town is reachable by 20 min walking. The hosts were very kind.
-the hotel is located in a forest, with ground still partially covered in snow in late march. The location feels like a resort. in fact, it has free activities like forest walk which we enjoyed thoroughly (boots and snow shoes provided).
But if you don't drive, you will need to use their free shuttle to and fro from Shirakawago bus terminal. about 10 mins drive.
-great outdoor onsen. We enjoyed the stars and moon while we soaked!
-french style meal and fine dining, which is a pleasant surprise for us. (altho the fish was overcooked)
The hotel is nice, clean, and warm, and the owner is pretty kind to offer the traveler help. They provide free coffee and tea, and also a kitchen you can use. The view outside the hotel and the building itself are both wonderful. Even though it takes a walk to go to shirakawago, the scenery along the road is another beautiful memory.
