Service was amazing. The property helped my fiance plan a surprise proposal, and indeed it was a wonderful surprise! They were all so lovely, and we really felt like this was a nice break from the rest our busy Japan trip. The ryokan was beautiful, everything was impeccably clean, and we felt so comfortable and did not want to leave. Hakone Gora Byakudan will definitely hold a very special place in our hearts.

This was the most incredible hotel experience I have ever had. The location is absolutely stunning and surrounded by nature. The staff and service are beyond exceptional- we were treated like royalty! The rooms are just beautiful, relaxing, and the beds were super comfortable. Of course we enjoyed the private onsen and did not want to leave. The food was such a treat- truly a culinary masterpiece for both breakfast and dinner (both included in our stay). They provide you with everything you need- all standard amenities, pajamas, bath robes, water, free drinks, even a free midnight snack! How could anyone not love this place and the people. I will be dreaming of my stay for a very long time.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Sengokuhara 533 in Hakone. Modern, clean and comfortable, located in a quiet street in Sengokuhara. The hosts were very kind and accomodating.
Lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby, and closest bus stop is about a 7 minute walk away which will take you all over Hakone. Wish I had stayed here longer, definitely the highlight of our trip. Luxury accomodation for an affordable price.
