Great area.
Great area. If you got to the castle complex, as you are looking at the castle, there is a path off to the left that has an amazing view and was the best spot there I found for good pictures without the crowds.

If you can get tickets ahead of time, do so. the ticket line was longer than the line to get in.
Also, take the stairs not the elevator, if you can (much longer line at the elevator). You can rest on each floor if you cannot do all 8 stories at once.

It's quite a walk from the station to the actual castle but seeing it up close is really cool. I know it's a reconstruction but it's just amazing seeing that traditional architecture and getting to walk around the castle grounds. I didn't have a lot of time to do any particular tours but I think I would want to visit again with a tour guide to check it out in more depth.

Incredible! So much information and history.
Incredible! So much information and history. Descriptions of exhibits were well written and interesting. And the reenactment videos was super cool!
When you enter the castle, before you go up the elevator, the staff informs everyone that no photos are to be taken on certain floors (3F & 4F). There are signs everywhere that say no photos, and also a staff member walking around the designated area with a sign that says “no photos.” Unfortunately, many people were still taking pictures in the “no photo” areas, which was very rude & inconsiderate. Be respectful & don’t be those people.

Its wonderful from the outside - but the inside has been gutted and is now a museum - it mainly outlines the history of the castle and the family of the man who built it. Its a nice experience but I would have adored to see some original interior (even rebuilt)

Breakfast is very good with a wide range of different foods available. Staff are very friendly and helpful and more than willing to help in any way they can. The hotels website says they are only 5 minutes walk from Osaka castle but it is more than 15 minutes. If I was to go to Osaka again, I would choose a more central hotel. If like me, you wish to use Osaka as a base to explore Kyoto and Nara, then book a hotel near the Shinkansen station.
This was a lovely find in a small pocket of the city. It was very convenient to get to via train and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were very clean and had all the amenities available if needed. The food at the lobby was also good and this place has a very chilled out vibe. It's also very close to the longest shopping centre as well as Osaka shrine. It's also walking distance to Osaka Castle. I highly recommend staying here if you prefer a laid back side to Osaka. 🤘🏽
I liked the quietness, comfortable beds, partition, toaster, microwave, and luggage keeping after check out was very helpful.
The area was not crowded with tourists.
One station away from Osaka castle.
Near a train station.
Nice hotel and the buffet breakfast is good with a great variety of options. The location is great too, very close to the train station. We walked to Osaka Castle which took us around 30 minutes. The room is small, as most hotels in Japan.
A wonderful hotel, clean, large rooms (for Japan) and very well equipped. Can control each individual from temperature and crack open the window. Great facilities, quiet, nice view and in a great location close to the train station, convenience stores etc. It's in a business district but that didn't bother us, and within walking distance to Osaka castle. We had a room for an adult and 2 kids and it was fabulous.
very friendly and helpful staff; location is okay - to dotonburi and osaka castle are all within 30min walk, and there’s a family mart right outside the hostel
Great location close to train station and Osaka Castle. We left a pair of earphones in our room and the staff facilitated for it to be sent to our next hotel in Tokyo. Great service!
Great location on river walk to Osaka castle, shrine, best shopping. Room stylish and comfortable, rooftop area looking over river, hotel staff very helpful.
