The atmosphere and the location are excellent. The hotel is near many luxurious hotels and resident area, which makes it quiet, peaceful, and secure. There are even Lawson and 7-11 within 5 min by walking. The room is wide and comfortable and the facilities are well equipped. The staff is friendly and polite as well.

As our flight from Tokyo was slightly delayed, we arrived at The Base a little later than our scheduled check in time. However, we were greeted by Toshi, the owner/manager of The Base, who stayed behind to ensure that our check in process went smoothly. He provided heaps of very useful information, ranging from places to eat to the easiest way to walk from The Base to JR Sapporo station.
We especially loved the peace and quiet of The Base and not to mention the close walking distance to the streetcar station. Everything in our chosen room was as expected and we would happily stay at The Base on our next trip back to Sapporo next January!

In hotel bath was so nice. Good water. Small but practical to have a soak before bed. Club room was a good upgrade, breakfast on the top floor with the cute was nice.

1) Location is a 5min walk to Nakajimakoen Station and Nakajima Park. It is also just across the road from Toyohira River, which has good cycling infrastructure, nice views of the river rapids and cityscape.
2) Breakfast is not included in the booking but it's only for an extra 500 yen for food that is delicious and filling.
The hotel location is great. It's across the street of Nakajima Park exit 1 and the New Chitose airport bus stop is right outside of the hotel. It was an easy walk to Susukino and the famous ramen street. The hotel breakfast was as advertised. The room is kind of basic but sufficient for a comfortable stay.
The rooms were spacious and well designed. The staff were very friendly as well. The hotel is located around 10 minutes away from Susukino and we liked that the area around Nakajima Park is calm, quiet and not as touristy.

Nakajima Park was nearby with really good scenery. Close to the Nakajimakoen subway station. Many konbinis and grocery stores nearby. Tram station on the next street. Bus stops nearby. Accessible location. Various ski and snowboarding areas within 30-60 mins train and bus ride. Easy access to Sapporo station and travel to areas outside of Sapporo like Otaru, Lake Toya, Noboribetsu and Mount Tenguyama. Easy to find halal food
The hotel is in an amazing location, directly opposite Nakajima park. It was simply beautiful in winter. It's just a short 2-3 minute walk to the nearest subway station, with easy access to downtown Sapporo. The staff are friendly and accommodating,and the free drink service is great!
i’ve seen a lot of comments about the hotel needing an update. However, everything was clean, functioned perfectly, and had a bit of retro charm. In addition, it is a very good value. staff was professional and courteous and the location next to Nakajima Park can’t be beat.
During the winter months, you can cross country ski with equipment provided free of charge by the city of Sapporo. What a great concept!
