Room was nice (cold air seeping through the bedroom window wasn’t fantastic while sleeping), loved the wet room and the beds were comfortable, if a bit firm for my liking. Vending machines only had cold drinks (really wanted a hot coffee in the morning!!). Good location.

Amazing and superb, it's all I have to say. From the hotel staff to the room to the amenities, it was all very very nice and enjoyable. I dropped a record album by accident and hadn't even noticed and the staff came to give it back to me the next day and I am super thankful to them, they were all very polite and nice. If I ever visit Kanazawa again I'm sure to stay at UAN one more time. I loved this place!

Buffet breakfast was a mix of Japaneses and western food, they had a good variety of items to select, it was fresh and delicious.
My only comment was there were no options for alternative milks - would have been good to have a soy or oat milk.

Beautiful in any season!
Beautiful in any season! My first visit was in winter, when snow covered much of the gardens and gave it an etheral beauty, then in spring which was a feast for the eyes. This latest trip was once again in winter and the beauty still impressed me.

These gardens are regarded by many Japanese as the finest in the whole of Japan and many visit Tanazawa especially to see them. We visited early in the year, some plum blossom was on show but too early for the cherry blossom. Nonetheless, the gardens are spectacular. A must see !

Excellent location just steps away from Kanazawa Castle and Kenrokuen Gardens and a few minutes walk from Kazuemachi and Higashi Chaya. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpfu. l The room comes with all the standard amenities (we had a Japanese style room). The hotel is quiet at night. The cost of the hotel may seem a little steep but the value can be gained by using the really nice hot spring baths (no private baths).
Ideally situated in the historic area. Walking distance to the Castle ,Kenrokuen Gardens and the Art Gallery of the 21st century. It was a short cab ride from the station. It was very quiet. Close to excellent restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was attractively decorated and the rooms were comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend it.
Behind an inauspicious door is the most lovely contemporary, Japanese style hotel. It’s in an excellent location about 10 mins walk from Kenrokuen gardens which is the main reason for our visit. Western style breakfast in the morning was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff could not have been more polite and helpful.
The staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable with a desk and chair as well as big lounge chair. The breakfast and variety of coffee choice such as soy or oatmeal was great for me. The location is amazing- Kanazawa Castle entrance is less than five minutes away and then an easy walk to Kenrokuen Garden. The Samurai District is also an easy 15 minute walk away. I was at the hotel for 5 nights and could walk everywhere I needed.
One of my favourite hotels of the trip, the Mitsui Garden Hotel was situated in close proximity to Omicho market and only a quick bus ride to Kanazawa Station and Kenrokuen Garden. Great Japanese bathing facilities and a lovely room. Would definitely stay again next time I travel to Kanazawa.
Relatively large room, compared to many hotel rooms in Japan. The room is clean and quiet. The staff is helpful and helped us to forward our luggage to the next hotel at the end of our stay. Hotel is located very near Omicho Seafood Market and is within walking distance to the train station as well as to Kanazawa Castle Park and Kenrokuen Garden.
Lovely little guesthouse close to the Kazuemachi Chaya (Geisha) district and river. Also walking distance from the castle and Kenrokuen gardens, which are 100% worth a visit. The host is very lovely and accommodating and helped me forward my luggage on using the post office service (I’ve only used Yamato previously in Japan and it worked just as well). Kitchen is well equipped so gives you the option to cook which is a nice change from hotels.
