The Gate Hotel is in a great location, just a short walk to the Ryogoku station. The staff were all helpful and friendly, even helping us with our Japanese ( we now know how to say”have a nice day!) we never made it up to the rooftop lounge, but we did take advantage of the excellent breakfast in the dining room each morning. Our room was very large by Japanese standards; we loved having a sitting area, and the shower room is great - I want to redo my home shower now! The views of the Sumida River from our room were lovely, especially at night. A fantastic hotel.
