Wonderful location. Right next to the station, but the Shinkansen are so quiet we didn’t hear them. Easy walk to historical district.
Good breakfast. Had dinner at the hotel restaurant one night and it had a good selection.

Since we don’t speak Japanese, the host Eiko goes way beyond her responsibility to arrange a shared ride to go to Dakigaeri gouge. she also extend her hospitality and invite us to a free cultural show on the evening. Another plus is the location is in close proximity to Kakunodate station. 15 mins walk.
