Makito (“Miki”) was a wonderful host. He was polite, attentive to our needs, and answered our questions fully. It also helped that his English is impeccable! In conversation with him, it’s clear that he has dedicated a lot of time and effort into upgrading and modernizing the facility and improving the overall guest experience. He is an excellent cook and we enjoyed learning about the various ingredients used in his dishes. After preparing a simple but sumptuous dinner, he surprised us at breakfast the next morning by arranging a fun do-it-yourself stuffed breadstick baking session around the charcoals in the irori … definitely one of the highlights of our stay! :)

Best pillow among the hostels I've stay at so far! But more importantly the owners are very kind and generous and their lovely daughter likes to be social :) Shame not to spend more time in the area. Great to have a bar to hang your clothes/coat up!
