Really like ALA Hotel Kyoto, room is really clean, spacious room and comfortable. Love that they provided free laundry and dryer and allocated area for Women and Men separately. Only need to purchase ¥50 detergent from counter. Onsen is so good and very clean. So comfortable after a long day walk in Kyoto to be able to soak in Onsen. The most comfortable hotel I have stayed in Kyoto. Location is good as it’s near Kyoto Station.

Loved the traditions - shoes off before you enter, beautiful floors, very comfy bed (futon style which we love), quiet rooms, small but functional. The onsen was an amazing experience. Glad we didn’t have breakfast included - the queues looked horrendous. Loved the relaxation room touch of ice lollies. Great location - 10 min walk to Kyōto central station.
