The room was very spacious. Tatami in the room was comfortable. There was hot and cold water, and some tea bags and snacks in the room.
The location is quite convenient. Ski rental is just next door to reception entrance. There were lockers to store the ski rental outfits for in-house hotel guests. There was a direct link from reception via a basement to access the locker room. Ski rental staff were very warm and helpful.
There were bus shuttle services to and from the echigo-yuzawa station at designated times.
The younger staff at the reception may be able to converse in English.
The hotel has its unique charm. Though it was not new, it was well kept. The onsen was good.

The location is great. The Onzen was also very nice. The lobby was renovated which gave a much better feel. The Japanese style rooms are overall quite nice although we had a larger room the previous year and did not realize that there were 2 different sizes as both said they fit 5 people.

While the room is clean, it feels like it hasnt been updated since the 90s. Modern amenities like enough electric plugs are missing. Location of the hotel is great - 5 minutes from the station.

Loved the Sri Lankan Curry served over dinner. Meals are reasonably priced. Shared toilets , glad we went during a low period , i could imagine foot traffic to the shared bath and toilets if the place is full. Staff helped us clear the snow on our car. Shared bath is clean and adequate. Cozy dining area with fireplace.

1) The shuttle bus between Echigo-Yuzawa station and the hotel was most helpful.
2) Lovely Japanese style room with a sink and a microwave oven.

4)Big library/reading room on the second floor, also a kids play zone.

In-house onsen, good location to Yuzawa Kogen ropeway, free shuttle bus to/from Echigo-Yuzawa station, free yukata+onsen towels.
Because we visited the onsen every night, there wasn’t a need to shower in our own toilet.

- the location is also perfect! Only 4-5 min walk from the west exit of the Echigo-Yuzawa station. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the same street.
Location: it was across from Echigo-Yuzawa station and it was easy to get to the hotel.
Rooms: they were spacious and the futons got made every day.
Onsen: fantastic onsen facilities that made our stay more pleasant.
Breakfast: good variety of Western and Japanese food. The restaurant was big and accommodated everyone.
Coffee and amazake were provided free of charge which was a lovely gesture.
The owner was very kind an accommodating when I arrived, and the place is extremely clean. It is also not far from Echigo-Yuzawa station, so it's convenient for an early start the next day. There are also a couple of free parking lots nearby for those coming by car like I did. The price was also quite reasonable.
The location was great and there was free shuttle bus service for pickup. We were able to get help from the tourist center at Echigo-Yuzawa Station to call for shuttle bus pickup.
