I stayed at the hotel for the Fuji Rock Festival. Their location is just a few minutes' walk from Echigo Yuzawa, where you arrive from Tokyo and get on the shuttle for the festival to Naeba. The room is beautiful and very spacious, also super clean. There was free coffee, tea, and even free Yakult and ramen at certain hours. The hotel also had an onsen, which I was not able to take advantage of for this trip. Will definitely book here again if I'm heading back to the festival in the next years, even with the price.

Great location, very friendly and very authentic. This is a true, local gem. They have breakfast and dinner available. You don’t need a car, but it would definitely be convenient if you wanted a day off snow or to check out the surrounding attractions
Sharing the premises with a large ski resort and a hot spring resort, Naebe Prince Hotel features a large number of restaurants and shops, and some bars.

It was difficult to find a restaurant in the area for dinner, but we finally found one in a neighboring town (Shiozawa). There is a well-stocked supermarket and many pharmacies for daily needs. We enjoyed spring skiing at Kagura and want to go back during the winter season when there is more snow. It's better to have your own car to get around the area.

A ski resort town just an hour away from Tokyo, the bus terminal side of the station got a good old Japanese vide to it, and the back is more tourist centric, the closest resorts, gala, and Kogen is smaller than expected with crowed narrow runs, but with a 20 mins bus ride you can get to kagura, which is a bit old but with wide and good runs of all difficulty, and you don’t need to wait for any lift

I go to Yuzawa during winter.
I go to Yuzawa during winter. Naeba is my go-to place for snowboarding. It has excellent slopes for beginners, and also some tight curves for the more advanced. It's a little village, public transport is reliable but not frequent; so make sure to check the time table.

Breakfast was great.
Breakfast was great. Japanese style breakfast with many choices to choose from. The only thing I didn't like was the futon style beds on the floor. I just had knee surgery in March and getting off the floor in the morning was difficult. Staff very friendly and spoke english.

Excellent visit. New finds were a) spaghetti restaurant within station called Uonuma Italian Grill & Dining. Best spaghetti I've ever recall having b) electric-assisted bikes for rent next to station. Critical given the hills in the area. And priced very reasonably. I was able to tour the town for the first time.
The location is fantasic, just in front of Yuzawa Kogen Snow Resort. And the staff will take you to any snow resort you want to visit in Yuzawa area. The staff are super busy as the rental shop under the hotel is always crowded but they are also very friendly and responding very fast to your requests. In my case, the nearest parking was full when I arrived the hotel but the staff took me to another free parking and took me back by a small bus.
Love the location so nearby to the ski field. Rental shop just next door. Walking distance to the combined lift to the ski resort. The hotel shuttle bus stops directly in front of the hotel. Convenient store Family mart just next door of the hotel building. The rooms are very spacious and with view to the mountain.
wonderful local Japanese Ryokan Hotel. Room with western Bed is big and comfortable for 3 of us. amazing Onsen. breakfast spread is really good, one of the best for our many Japan trips. Staff is really friendly and helpful.
