Just in front of Horyuji temple, I could visit twice for a short stay. Onsen hot spring baths are small but very relaxing. Breakfast is delicious and well done. Room is just right size for 2 people. Located in very quiet area, so slept very deeply. Private free tour (only in Japanese) was very interesting and beyond my expectation.

Incredible location in a very quiet part of town. Lots of temples in the direct vicinity. We were able to participate in temple rituals in the morning, and dinner and breakfast were both delicious.
Kakimotoya is located near Mount Shigi, a 10-minute taxi ride from JR Oji Train Station.

The staff was incredible. So very nice and gracious, and very helpful. Limited English, so knowing basics and apps came in handy.
Food was delicious! Way too much, but rather have too much than be left hungry.
Views and seclusion was nice. Close to temple and farm.
