Is this the most beautiful basilica in the world? It’s got to be up there. The ceilings of the apse gleam with incredible Byzantine-era mosaics depicting biblical scenes, with enormous figures of Christ, St Vitale, the Emperor Justinian and the four gospel writers. Come with a detailed guide book to make sense of the impressive imagery.

This is a beautiful accommodation in an excellent.Just over a 5 minute walk from San Vitale and about a 10 minute walk from the main square. The rooms are stylish and well equipped. The breakfast room and quality of the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety. I cannot rate Casa Masoli highly enough.
Large and cosy 2-room apartment downtown Ravenna, near Basilica di San Vitale (mosaics). Excellent facilities (kitchen utilities, washing machine, even a dryer). Sofa bed for the kids one of the best so far. Very friendly and hospitable hosts. Highly recommended! Tips: Mercato Coperto next door with small Coop supermarket and great café for coffees. Gelateria SBRINO our personal favourite. Arriving by car? Parking Via G. Guidarello or Largo Giustiniano recommended, close by and good price.
The Host Mr Alessandro was so Kind and always ready to help. Well equipped apartment, with lots of space, comfortable beds and breakfast provided by Host. Balcony was a Perfect remedy for high temperatures and also enabled us to eat and chat outdoors. Moreover the apartment location and tranquillity of the neighbourhood was ideal for spending a great time in Ravenna. There were only 2 minutes walking from nearest supermarket and ten minutes to Basilica Di San Vitale and mausoleo di Galla Placidia.
One cannot find a better location in Ravenna! Our room had a view of Basilica di San Vitale and Mausoleo di Galla Placidia. I misread the description and did not realize that the booking is for a room, not the whole place. However, the room was more than sufficient and had a private bathroom; the living room, shared with other guests, was beautiful. Everything is within a short leisurely walk away. Highly recommended!
The apartment location is fantastic. It's literally a few steps from the Basilica of San Vitale. Mrs Silvia was very friendly and gave us good tips on where to eat out. The Apartment was clean and well-equipped.
We liked absolutely everything. The owner was responsive and extremely kind, the location was absolutely amazing (just a few minutes' walk from San Vitale!), the apartment itself was lovely, very clean and it had everything one would hope for. We really enjoyed the garden, as well. The pictures do not do it justice!
The apartment is very clean. It is close to the Basilica di San Vitale, and its location just outside the city center means it is easy to find free street parking. What made the stay exceptional was the friendliness and helpfulness of the host.

The hotel is a converted church -which makes for some surprising nooks and corners, but it has been beautifully done. The great thing is the location -the gardens are quiet and there is a lovely view across them to San Vitale. There is a big terrace for breakfast -which is simple but good.
A beaufully designed top floor apartment and also is sometimes Stefano’s home so it had a friendly feel. The beds were very comfortable. The view over ancient red- tiled roof tops toward the nearby tower of San Vitale Basilica is very special.
