Very good location, nice warm rooms (cold November visit), excellent beds, very good breakfast, lovely staff. Due to a train strike we had to stay an extra night, staff very helpful. Reception staffed all night. Handy for all of Ravenna's mosaic locations, also worth a visit are the Ravenna Museum and Dante's Tomb (be there at 5pm for a live reading from The Divine Comedy). Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from train station. Nothing to complain about, good stay.

A Walker's Paradise Filled with Charming Surprises
Once a capital of the Western Roman Empire, Ravenna is a walker’s paradise and is home to several historical landmarks, magnificent mosaics, great fashion outlets, and charming streets lined with cafés, restaurants and bars.
Piazza del Popolo is considered the heart of Ravenna and was historically the civil and administrative centre of the city. It features the 15th-century Palazzetto Veneziano, the 17th-century Palazzo Comunale, and the 18th-century clock tower.
The most popular landmarks in the city are San Vitale, Mausoleo di Galla Placida, Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and Dante Alighieri’s Tomb, whilst the Cervia Thermal Baths and Mirabilandia theme park are great options for a day trip.
After a day of discovery and sightseeing, be sure to head towards the coast for a revitalising swim or relaxing sun bathe at one of the several beaches scattered along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea.
Ravenna Station offers direct routes to Bologna and Rimini. Booking.com offers a range of accommodation options in Ravenna, Cervia, Milano Marittima and throughout the Emilia-Romagna Region.
Basilica San Vitale is unique and simply fantastic.
Basilica San Vitale is unique and simply fantastic. Other places like Galle Plácida and the Duomo and Baptistery were also great. Buying the ticket which gives access to 5 sites is a good deal and everything is easily walkable

I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent guided tour of the UNESCO listed mosaics, and the ease of moving around the town to view the major attractions. My hotel was across the street from a great restaurant, Fred's which had a good menu, excellent staff and good wine by the glass.

The historic centre of Ravenna is small, flat, and extremely walkable. It's picturesque and historic, so there's a huge amount to see and do, including visiting 7 UNESCO World Heritage sites (and an 8th a cheap bus ride away).

A charming but sophisticated for shopping and eating.
A charming but sophisticated for shopping and eating. The monuments were in close proximity to each other and entwined with the vibrant downtown. A place to attend for seeing art but without all of the tourists of Florence.

Some of the best food we ate was in Ravenna. I would highly recommend
Sedici for breakfast and Na Frachetta for dinner, both were fabulous. The Basilicas were unbelievable and I truly mean that. The people were very friendly.

Ravenna is a very nice town with a great city center.
Ravenna is a very nice town with a great city center. Our hotel/apartment was within walking distance of lots of churches, the city center, and restaurants. Ravenna has a lot of mosaics in churches that are interesting. But a day in Ravenna is enough.

The hotel was very clean, there was a lot of choice at breakfast, staff very helpful and kind. price was ok if you compare location and service to other hotels . The best thing apart from this is the location. Right in the centre, can walk to all the sites easily, surrounded by restaurants, cafés and shops. Just a 10minute walk to the train station. And so in my mind makes it the best choice compared to other hotels I looked at on here and saw while staying in Ravenna. Would definitely stay here again.
Very spacious rooms, biggest shower we've had in Italy. Very well equipped kitchen, everything you could want, including a full frig/freezer. It was pouring when we arrived at the station, and the lovely landlady had kindly offered to pick us up.. They also collected us and dropped us back at the station after our stay. Doesn't get better than that, really nice people. Lots of cafes and supermarkets nearby too.
Real espresso and cappuccino , this is almost exceptional because most hotels now just put a stupid machine in the breakfast room. In Italy a good coffee made by a real person is what I go for!
I found very sweet “welcome bag’ in the room for my little dog, what can I say? it did move me. No extra charge, but love!
Very nice stuff, exceptionally friendly and helpful
Directly at the heart of Ravenna. A beautiful, in English (or maybe Italian, can't say for sure)country style furnished hotel. We had the little house in the garden, which was great and relaxing. Staff was friendly and helpful at all times. Breakfast had everything we needed.
