Palazzo Galletti Abbiosi, hotel in Ravenna

Featuring 18th-century architecture, this former noble residence is in the centre of Ravenna and 400 metres from the train station.

The grandeur of the building and it's proximity to the historical centre. The staff were super helpful and the breakfast was great. I made use of the common lounge for some quiet reading between sightseeing. There's even a church in the property!

Hotel Centrale Byron, hotel in Ravenna

Hotel Centrale Byron is located in the historic centre of Ravenna, in the quiet of the pedestrian zone. It offers en suite rooms with air conditioning and free Wi-Fi.

Very good location, nice warm rooms (cold November visit), excellent beds, very good breakfast, lovely staff. Due to a train strike we had to stay an extra night, staff very helpful. Reception staffed all night. Handy for all of Ravenna's mosaic locations, also worth a visit are the Ravenna Museum and Dante's Tomb (be there at 5pm for a live reading from The Divine Comedy). Hotel is about a 15 minute walk from train station. Nothing to complain about, good stay.

A Walker's Paradise Filled with Charming Surprises

Once a capital of the Western Roman Empire, Ravenna is a walker’s paradise and is home to several historical landmarks, magnificent mosaics, great fashion outlets, and charming streets lined with cafés, restaurants and bars.

Piazza del Popolo is considered the heart of Ravenna and was historically the civil and administrative centre of the city. It features the 15th-century Palazzetto Veneziano, the 17th-century Palazzo Comunale, and the 18th-century clock tower.

The most popular landmarks in the city are San Vitale, Mausoleo di Galla Placida, Basilica of Sant'Apollinare Nuovo and Dante Alighieri’s Tomb, whilst the Cervia Thermal Baths and Mirabilandia theme park are great options for a day trip.

After a day of discovery and sightseeing, be sure to head towards the coast for a revitalising swim or relaxing sun bathe at one of the several beaches scattered along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea.

Ravenna Station offers direct routes to Bologna and Rimini. Booking.com offers a range of accommodation options in Ravenna, Cervia, Milano Marittima and throughout the Emilia-Romagna Region.

I thoroughly enjoyed the excellent guided tour of the UNESCO listed mosaics, and the ease of moving around the town to view the major attractions. My hotel was across the street from a great restaurant, Fred's which had a good menu, excellent staff and good wine by the glass.

The historic centre of Ravenna is small, flat, and extremely walkable. It's picturesque and historic, so there's a huge amount to see and do, including visiting 7 UNESCO World Heritage sites (and an 8th a cheap bus ride away).

A charming but sophisticated for shopping and eating. The monuments were in close proximity to each other and entwined with the vibrant downtown. A place to attend for seeing art but without all of the tourists of Florence.

Ravenna is a very nice town with a great city center. Our hotel/apartment was within walking distance of lots of churches, the city center, and restaurants. Ravenna has a lot of mosaics in churches that are interesting. But a day in Ravenna is enough.

it is the third time I am visiting this hotel and I can say that is a reason to go again in Ravenna. The breakfast is amazing with fresh fruits in the middle of the winter The lounge that is free to stay as long as you like has a relaxing atmosphere and a suitable music all day Even though Ravenna has so many things to do and visit this hotel can keep you there and spend the day relaxing

Take me back! This was my favorite accommodation on my one-month trip to Italy. The rooms are incredibly spacious and clean! Valentino is super accommodating and helpful and will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. There was also a wonderful breakfast with the best croissants! I will for sure be back! I miss it!
