Staff were super helpful. Room was immaculately clean,and cleaned everyday.great central location to walk all around Gallipoli. Breakfast included at Facula cafe was fab. Secure parking space gave peace of mind for hire care safety. Fantastic value for money.

We can't say enough good about this elegant, charming, exquisitely restored ancient building; its decor, architecture, facilities, comfort, roof terrace, and staff. WOW factor in evidence everywhere. The location presented difficulties with parking where we - unknowingly - entered a restricted zone. However, the young lady on reception cleared our "offence" with the police on booking in. We found Valerie instructive and interesting in providing local and cultural information. Thanks to the male waiter who allowed us to park in front of the restaurant whilst we organised parking on the island.

Good walk from the far end of the new town, worth visiting.
Good walk from the far end of the new town, worth visiting. Fresh Fish for sale daily. Beautiful scenery and the most amazing water at the beach. This is where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Aegean Sea. The water is bright turquoise. Parasols, sun loungers & chairs can be rented for €5 per item with a deposit of €5 which is returned when you give the items back. The beach is in close proximity to narrow streets with craft shops and a fantastic wine cellar under the ground. Definitely worth a visit for the wine enthusiast who may want to import some on return home. Most of the cafes serve cold meals, delicious white wine & Prosecco for a small cost in comparison to Dublin, Ireland. There are many restaurants in the beach harbour area worth a visit. In particular, we visited IL Faro which had cocktails, fantastic seafood & pasta.

Gallipoli is worth the extra travel distance It’s a relaxed town I loved watching the local fishermen preparing their nets. The cost is a visual delight I enjoyed all the upper puglia towns to check off my travel list but I enjoy gallipoli and the south the most. Yes my next trip I would head to southern puglia for great nature walks and friendly people and yummy homemade food.
