Everything, I stayed with my mother for a week. The hotel was spotlessly clean, all of the staff were wonderful, the breakfast was delicious and the facilities were fantastic. The manager of the hotel even recognised my mother and I when we were out and about in the Old Town and paid for our coffees. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

We wanted to stay in Gallipoli for the fresh seafood, the location and the beach. It can be very windy so check which side of the island you prefer and if you want to see the sunset from your accommodation. The fish market has been closed down by the authorities but there are very many restaurants serving seafood - check reviews. There is a tendency to serve the fish raw and we had to check menus before booking. There are very many bars where you can enjoy a drink with a superb view. The town gets quite busy in the main areas during the day from day trippers and tour groups but it is quieter in the evenings. The churches, fort and back lanes are a delight to wander in. It’s not a large island but it’s certainly worthy of a three night stay or longer if you want a beach holiday. It’s a perfect destination for families with small children as the beach is easily accessible on foot and the water is calm and shallow with a gradual fall. It’s also an excellent for serious swimming with many semi professionals training there further out.

It's a cute city with a picturesque old town, lots of nice nearby beaches (especially Baia Verde & Punta della Suina), plenty of restaurants (but very full in the evenings - it's quite normal to wait in a line infront of a restaurant for a free table), shops ... It is a bit too crowdy during the summer top season months for my taste. In case it rains there's not much to do, since you can visit all main attractions in just a few hours. Deifinitely a nice destination for those that love beach holidays, a bit less recommended for those that search for something more than just that.

Beautiful and fully functional city with old romantic part of the city and new fully functional part. Supermarkets, great restaurants, fancy clothing shops and even some children playgrounds made our stay relaxed but not out of the touch of the reality.

Gallipoli has a really nice old town with a great selection of shops and restaurants. It is a fun place to just wander around. There are good beaches within 15-30 minutes drive both north and south of Gallipoli. For restaurants, I recommend la Vinaigrette and Le Garibaldine.

We stayed in the historic centre. The atmosphere is amazing. Purità beach is 2 minutes walk and delighfull. The nightlife is fun but not too noisy or crazy. We loved every minute here but be aware you need transport when you are here. Solento buses start 22nd June to other destinations but no trains other than Lecce. There are plenty of beautiful beaches here.

WOW WOW WOW - THE best accommodation of our stay in Italy. This was a luxury stay, large room and bathroom and the best shower, super clean and the host was amazing and super helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here.
only a short maybe 15 min walk into Gallipoli, which has an amazing inner city beach, well worth a visit. Also, best to make dinner reservations as restaurants get booked up.

Very beautiful decor, high ceilings, right in the centre of Gallipoli but very quiet and peaceful. gorgeous courtyard and very friendly host who despite not speaking English made sure we were comfortable and happy (he had an app for translating!). Hearty and tasty breakfast of fresh fruit and local pastries each morning was a great addition.
The room was large and with traditional tiled floors and an absolutely fantastic balcony with a great view over the port of Gallipoli. Close to a fabulous swimming beach.
