Location was ideal - an easy walk to the old town, but just far enough away that it was easy to get to the hotel. Free street parking was available just steps away from the hotel. The staff was pleasant, the bathroom nicely appointed, and the bed was decent.

Modern hotel, spacious clean rooms and excellent breakfast. Very affordable and only a block in from the ocean. Staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions and provided maps showing where they were as well as sites to see. Nice walk to old town, about 25 minutes.

I must first say that i had a single room with a small 1-person bed.
The room was very small, but that part was ok.
The issue was the shower! I had never seen such a MINISCULE shower! I measured it, and it's ~ 18 x 26 inches (45 x 65 cm). I am very lean, and could not tirn while inside the shower. A rather big person would not be able to fit in! This is ridiculous. See attached picture.

Gallipoli is one of the most beautiful places in Apulia. Only perhaps Lecce and Matera can compete with it, but both of those places lack the close by seaside that Gallipoli features. In Gallipoli you can spend your day enjoying dolce far niente at the beach and go and dine in one of the many great restaurants in town. The town, built onto an island on the waterfront, is very neat and developed out of medieval times and has many well maintained old and beautiful buildings. If you plan a trip to Apulia, Gallipoli is a must see!

Low key and relaxed. Didn’t need dinner reservations bc there are so many great eateries! Very easy to get around. Always felt safe. La Grotto delicious Gusto is a great place to enjoy a delicious, but not overpriced, dinner. Beach was accessible. Rental chairs not expensive. Parking free on edge of old town. A great value for your spending.

We wanted to stay in Gallipoli for the fresh seafood, the location and the beach. It can be very windy so check which side of the island you prefer and if you want to see the sunset from your accommodation. The fish market has been closed down by the authorities but there are very many restaurants serving seafood - check reviews. There is a tendency to serve the fish raw and we had to check menus before booking. There are very many bars where you can enjoy a drink with a superb view. The town gets quite busy in the main areas during the day from day trippers and tour groups but it is quieter in the evenings. The churches, fort and back lanes are a delight to wander in. It’s not a large island but it’s certainly worthy of a three night stay or longer if you want a beach holiday. It’s a perfect destination for families with small children as the beach is easily accessible on foot and the water is calm and shallow with a gradual fall. It’s also an excellent for serious swimming with many semi professionals training there further out.

It's a cute city with a picturesque old town, lots of nice nearby beaches (especially Baia Verde & Punta della Suina), plenty of restaurants (but very full in the evenings - it's quite normal to wait in a line infront of a restaurant for a free table), shops ... It is a bit too crowdy during the summer top season months for my taste. In case it rains there's not much to do, since you can visit all main attractions in just a few hours. Deifinitely a nice destination for those that love beach holidays, a bit less recommended for those that search for something more than just that.

Beautiful and fully functional city with old romantic part of the city and new fully functional part. Supermarkets, great restaurants, fancy clothing shops and even some children playgrounds made our stay relaxed but not out of the touch of the reality.

Gallipoli has a really nice old town with a great selection of shops and restaurants. It is a fun place to just wander around. There are good beaches within 15-30 minutes drive both north and south of Gallipoli. For restaurants, I recommend la Vinaigrette and Le Garibaldine.

We were on a road trip of Southern Italy and wanted to spend some time in a City and chose Gallipoli. Palazzo Perla was ideal for us, based in the heart of the City within easy walking distance of a main shopping street and a short walk to the Centro Historico which is lovely, the location was perfect with free on street parking. The accommodation was beautiful, comfortable, stylish, clean, everything you could want. Ilenia the hostess was charming, professional and very helpful as were the other team members. A really enjoyable stay!
Relais Corte Palmieri & Il Chiostro was a nice hotel from cleanliness, decor and styling, location and staff. I liked everything the hotel, especially the staff, shout out for Giovanna and Anna. The buffet breakfast was nice, typically what you would expect for breakfast in Italy.
Overall, it was super nice experience. Check in and out was efficient and quick. The room was clean, well-appointed and spacious.

This was a perfect combination of good location to visit the area of Puglia by car, excellent home made food and beverages topped with a family touch hospitality. If you are looking for a quiet place to spend great time in high quality agro - touristic conditions in the South of Italy you should consider Il Sorriso Degli Ulivi and the charming owners
