Beautifully designed hotel in great location off the main cathedral square in Orvieto. The staff were exceptional- attentive, extremely knowledgeable and helpful and graciously pleasant.

Go to the archaeology museum just next to the Duomo to evade crowds and see a fantastic collection of Etruscan pottery, frescoes, and other historical objects that put Orvieto into perspective. Crowds are light and staff very helpful. It's not too large so not overwhelming.

Make plans to see it day and night. The facade is amazing and sparkles in the afternoon sun as well as in the evening lights. Book your stay at the hotel to the left of the Duomo with a direct view to the quiet square. The place is magical.
