This is not a regular airport hotel. I choose it for it's vicinity to the airport, and was surprised and delighted at the opulence. It would appear to be a converted manor house, with al the architectural features still intact. Highly recommended if you need to stay near the airport.

Orvieto is a beautiful Etruscan and medieval hill top town about 1.5 hours north of Rome.
It has a fascinating history, stunning duomo, fabulous restaurants and a funiculare directly from the train station to the village. The town produces traditional medieval-design ceramics
Orvieto should be on every travellers list of places to go.

Orvieto sums up the best of Italian tourism.
Orvieto sums up the best of Italian tourism. (And it is a tourist town: It has been an in-crowd Mecca for 50 years or more. Every third doorway has a shop with some cool gegaws to bring home for friends and family: clothing, jewelry, leather goods, scents, spices, cookware, great souvenirs - really good stuff at competitive prices). Also, great competitive hotels, many with free or reasonable breakfasts, competitive restaurants with every attractive one having really good food. Safe clean streets with cobble stones giving your ankles a good workout, and a ton of attractions with just a bit of healthy, safe walking between each stop.

Orvieto is a very walkable city and some beautiful churches. The underground is worth visiting too. I loved the walk around the city on the path by the walls but it is very hard to find/follow without a guide.

Orvieto is a fascinating little city with a lot of history...
Orvieto is a fascinating little city with a lot of history and a number of great sights. It's a quiniessential place for wandering, Walks around the perimeter afford awesome views of the valleys below and the distant mountains. Download an offline map, because you WILL get lost while wandering the labyrinthine inner city, but, once you get a handle on the general orientation of the city, pay attention to your surroundings and how you reached where you are when you decide you are lost, so you can backtrack to the last familiar location. Familiarity will grow every time you venture out.

What a pleasant surprise.
What a pleasant surprise. Located at the base or Orvieto and was a quick drive up to the old town. The room had all recommendations for activities, restaurants. The host are wonderful and accommodating. I left my nice dinner clothes there and the owner is shipping them to me. Above and beyond expectations

Beautiful town, stunning views and fascinating history. Many interesting attractions. Not swarming with tourists! A good break from the busier Italian tourist attractions, close to both Florence and Rome. Delicious local food.

A luxurious and modern apartment with everything you could need, including Netflix! Its right in the centre of Orvieto, about 2 minutes walk from the Duomo. The interior décor and furnishings are beautiful and a lot of care has been taken to make a wonderful place to stay in Orvieto.
The room was right in the old town, spacious, clean and modern. The hosts were lovely. We would definitely stay again. It's a 3 min walk to the duomo, where the bus drops you off. Great instructions on how to use the public transport to get up there. Orvieto is gorgeous.
The location was excellent very close to the Duomo in the historical centre of Orvieto. We very much enjoyed Orvieto very interesting and pretty. The property was spacious really a lot bigger than what we used in our short stay.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Above all, beautiful and peaceful garden overlooking the surrounding area. Best place I have stayed in Italy so far.
Great location right next to the Duomo. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Easy to access by car following google maps and we used the hotel valet to park.
