When you walk in it’s a bit scary. We were the first to arrive and it looks like it used to be an asylum and the outside is kinda run down but even though not pretty inside…still looked like a hospital, it had good size rooms, comfortable beds and use of a big kitchen with all the necessary kitchen gadgets. After we got used to the different-ness of it, we really loved it

The location was great, not far from Reykjavík. The setting was perfect, on a lake and we stepped outside our room and saw the northern lights all 5 nights we were there! Breakfast was great, staff was wonderful!
