You have to see it to believe it.
You have to see it to believe it. Longest fresh fish counter in Europe (I think) sooo many different breads ..... If you are self catering, you'll be spoilt for choice. If not, you'll wish you were by the variety of temptations !!

Great selection of homemade foods, jams, sauces, meats.
Great selection of homemade foods, jams, sauces, meats. The market is very well laid out, with plenty of space between the stalls. There is more than one exit and entrance, so parents, keep an eye on your kids. We went with teenagers. Gave them a few quid each, and they liked it

Good market produscts withpassionate and knowlegible stall holders. We were carefull to put our purchases into ordinary carrier bags before exiting and to know where we were heading as the surrounding streets seemed to have a high population of devients/troubled/ addicted/ homeless people.

Our stay was wonderful. Brilliant proprietor who was so helpful. Breakfast is by far the best of any B&B I have been to. Excellent location to the English Market and historic walk. Very satisfied with my stay.
Really wonderful place to stay. The staff is very responsive, and the hotel was quite nice. It's not an extravagant place but it is a very nice place to stay. It is close to everything a 5-minute walk from Cork City Uni and less than a ten minute walk to the English market area. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate area.
Quick walk to the Grand Parade and all the action around the English Market and McCurtain restaurants. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful.
Nicely updated hotel right outside of Cork City center- walking distance to the English Market, restaurants, and shops. Nice breakfast option too! Was nice since we were driving that you could get to the hotel without driving right through the center of the city.
This hotel is so welcoming. The staff was wonderful, very attentive. The rooms were large and comfortable. Location was perfect for parking and on the River. Close to shops, restaurants and the English Market. It was great and easy to walk to our locations. Thank you
We met Michelle when we arrived and what a lovely person. She assisted us with all our request and went out of her way to see how she could help us.
Location was great! In walking distance from the English Market and all the shopping and great pubs. We also walked to the restaurants at night in the city centre. The Green Frog Cafe on the corner had the best pastries and we loved their cappuccinos. We could also access the bus to the station just around the corner.
Rooms were very clean.
Shandon Bells B&B was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights as we explored Cork and the surrounding areas. We didn't pay to have breakfast there and really only slept there. My friend and I split a room and appreciated that there was parking available in the lot next door. The room was clean, the area was safe and quiet, even being close to the university. We were in easy walking distance to several pubs, restaurants and the English Market.
