You have to see it to believe it.

You have to see it to believe it. Longest fresh fish counter in Europe (I think) sooo many different breads ..... If you are self catering, you'll be spoilt for choice. If not, you'll wish you were by the variety of temptations !!

Great selection of homemade foods, jams, sauces, meats.

Great selection of homemade foods, jams, sauces, meats. The market is very well laid out, with plenty of space between the stalls. There is more than one exit and entrance, so parents, keep an eye on your kids. We went with teenagers. Gave them a few quid each, and they liked it

Good market produscts withpassionate and knowlegible stall holders. We were carefull to put our purchases into ordinary carrier bags before exiting and to know where we were heading as the surrounding streets seemed to have a high population of devients/troubled/ addicted/ homeless people.

Really wonderful place to stay. The staff is very responsive, and the hotel was quite nice. It's not an extravagant place but it is a very nice place to stay. It is close to everything a 5-minute walk from Cork City Uni and less than a ten minute walk to the English market area. There are numerous restaurants and coffee shops in the immediate area.

We met Michelle when we arrived and what a lovely person. She assisted us with all our request and went out of her way to see how she could help us. Location was great! In walking distance from the English Market and all the shopping and great pubs. We also walked to the restaurants at night in the city centre. The Green Frog Cafe on the corner had the best pastries and we loved their cappuccinos. We could also access the bus to the station just around the corner. Rooms were very clean.

Shandon Bells B&B was a nice place to stay for a couple of nights as we explored Cork and the surrounding areas. We didn't pay to have breakfast there and really only slept there. My friend and I split a room and appreciated that there was parking available in the lot next door. The room was clean, the area was safe and quiet, even being close to the university. We were in easy walking distance to several pubs, restaurants and the English Market.
