The Trinity House Townhouse hotel is an upscale boutique hotel in an ideal location near Trinity College. We were upgraded to larger room upon check in which was very welcome since we had a bit of luggage traveling for the month. The room was elegant and comfortable with nice sheets and pillows as well as ample wardrobe space. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The staff in reception and the breakfast room were outstanding and went out of their way during our stay. We were able to walk to many shops, restaurants and sites from this location and were very comfortable walking around in the evening. We did appreciate the added security of needing your key card to access 2 doors to get in the building. Highly recommended !

The visit was extremely interesting, thanks to our guide, Robie. Hé was very knowledge able with a sharp sense of humour and a very human approach of the tragic story of the place. This visit is a must if you want to understand Ireland’s history. Visits must ve booked in advance via their website.

Emotional, gut-wrenching.
Emotional, gut-wrenching. Our guide Daniel was amazing (and patient with a couple of young ones on the tour). He made the tour! Talking to Daniel he has a master's degree in history. His passion was palatable. It made me proud to be Irish. I found myself teary at times, especially near the end of the tour. Make sure you go on the earlier side so you can browse the museum afterwards. Tickets are hard to come by, so you can purchase them up to 28-days in advance. Don't give up! I was stalking on the 28-day window, and they were all sold out. Check closer to when you are planning to visit, as that's what I did, and a number of tickets became available.

The visit was made to pay my respects to the men and women...
The visit was made to pay my respects to the men and women who gave so much for their country. Not a criticism, just a suggestion, but the cafe area nearer to the entrance / exit at ground level may help generate revenue and l am sure, literature, handbooks or booklets would sell well also. However, doing a great job and Irish tourism should do more to promote this aspect of its heritage. Good luck in the future

The location was perfect! We walked everywhere and only took an Uber once, to Kilmainham Gaol. Within minutes we were at fun and interesting places and St Stephen’s park was across the street. Everything was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was warm and inviting. Only 2 issues: the rooms were pretty compact (and we had the largest end units!) and its was expensive, considering the room size. Guess location is everything! Highly recommend!
