The location, the rooms and the staff are all 10/10. I stayed here twice during my time in Bali - the first time for 16 days, half in the suite and half in the apartment (I got an upgrade from the staff which was incredible). On my return, I booked the pool room which I think is the cheapest but it was still incredible so whatever room you book I’m pretty confident you’ll be more than happy.
The staff go above and beyond and when I returned it really was like going home. The Amara will always be my go to if I’m in Uluwatu. Book this hotel - you won’t be disappointed (I have really high standards and absolutely no complaints).

Unfortunately, the beach was a disappointment.
Unfortunately, the beach was a disappointment. There was so much garbage in the water that we could not even stand in shallow water without something hitting our legs. The food vendors are great but the monkeys stealing food, small bags, and anything small you may leave on your blanket is even more disappointing. I would highly recommend going to another beach in Uluwatu.

What a gorgeous property tucked away in Uluwatu. So modern, clean and well maintained. Great location for our stay, only a 10 minute walk from Padang Padang beach & within walking distance from all the lovely restaurants and cafes. The hotel staff were absolutely perfect, so attentive & caring and couldn’t do more for us. Breakfast was lovely too - well worth including this in your package. Would definitely recommend & stay again - thank you to everyone at Amara!

The location of the hotel is great for Padang Padang beach and there are shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room was acceptable for the price and was clean. There's a great pool and the gardens are very well cared for.
Hotel itself was very beautiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location also was the best because all the coolest things (food, shopping) in Uluwatu is near the hotel. Padang padang beach was on 5 min walking distance. I recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone.🙈🙌🏼

The view was absolutely amazing! You can see the ocean from every room. During low tide you can go over the beach to Padang Padang beach , just 6 min walk. The room is clean and spacious. For us it was the perfect apartment for the Uluwatu experience. In 10-15 min walk you reach the Main Street, in which you can find great restaurants. The stairs are actually not that bad, and a good reason to stay fit. The stuff (specifically, Pinok) is super helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
Beautiful hotel, the entrance & reception is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the ocean. The rooms are spacious and clean, the rooms with a balcony have a great ocean view. The spa is calming and relaxing, well worth a visit. The location is fantastic, a 10 minute walk to the main high street and a 20 mins or short bike ride to Padang Padang beach. The staff were all super friendly, a special shout-out to Uni in the reception team who went above and beyond to help us.
