Lakra spa was very good and would recommend their treatments.breakfast at Mensa at Elementum was excellent and best croissants I have had outside of France. Dont want the area to change.

Bali is a very mad island.
Bali is a very mad island. The traffic is like no other place we have ever been to. There seems to be no rules, there are millions of bikes everywhere, causing mayhem in traffic, fitting through the smallest of gaps, not only endangering themselves but you to. They ride on pavement if they seem like they will have to stop with no consideration to pedestrians. It is stressful and you're not even driving. Bali is a paradise lost really, it is very built up now and lots of the forest is being cleared for more hotels and villas for the tourist and it is already over crowded. Beaches we went to were sandy but really not that great. Many had strong waves to battle with and lots of unwatered rocks in your way. Too dangerous for young children and many adults. Surfers were ok as they could go out further on their boards. Shame but we are probably 20-30 year to late to enjoy the real Bali.

However is a city of stairs, you need to go up and down eveywhere you visit, so be advise! Water is a real issue in this city, please check around this, we had to move because of water supply problems in our 1st facility and then found similar problems on a 2nd one.
If you like yoga, Uluwatu has amazing studios to go practice.
As well great places to eat and go shopping.
Plan well your retourn to the airport, it took me around 3h being only 20km.

Great place to relax and unwind.
Great place to relax and unwind. There are LOTS of stairs to get to any beaches so you want to be reasonably fit. If you tour around you can find some great locations for meals on cliff tops. Eating locally in the town, you will find great food for a fraction of the price. The beaches are great to check out. Sunset views are relaxing.
I thought it was very good value for money. It's definitely a budget place so be mindful that it's not going to be a 5star hotel. The staff/family were friendly enough and the room was very large / bed was comfy. The mattress had a bedbug protector on it which was an added bonus for me. You got a little table overlooking a really pretty central garden.
The room was very clean with a big bed lots of storage.
GOJEK / GRAB 10 mins to KECAK fire dance at Uluwatu temple at sunset, 6pm. WOULD RECCOMEND!

We decided to check out of our Legian hotel and try somewhere different. So glad we chose Tortoise Eco Villas. Our little house with plunge pool was divine. Breakfast was one of the best we had in Bali. Poached eggs with pulled pork was to die for.
Staff were lovely and the resident dog, Maya was so cute. You really need to ride a scooter when staying as it's a 5 minute ride back to the road near Padang Padang beach. So many beaches close by to explore.
We had the perfect stay at Onaya! We loved everything about the resort - the staff was wonderful, the territory was beautiful and if we return to Bali we would stay there again. The place was a sanctuary of peace and calm, such a relaxing experience. Most importantly the service is unmatched - fits a 5 star experience! The hotel offers free chauffeur service within Uluwatu which was very convenient. We could not be happier with the accommodation choice!

The Tangerine Villa was absolutely magical. We spent our last two nights in Bali there and wished we could have stayed longer. Uluwatu is our favorite spot in Bali, so the location was perfect for us. The interior and overall ambiance of the villa were stunning.
