We loved the Cretan mountains and it is a great spot for hiking (just 5min ride to Aradena Canyon). It is located in the center of a small quiet village, with very good taverns and a small mini market. The food in the tavern was great. The staff were nice and helpful.

Gorgeous hotel, on a great location. Nice views, good pool and very modern designed rooms. Staff is friendly and breakfast is good! Great hide-out for a few days exploring the amazing waters around this area. We will definitely visit again!

A genuine family owned and cared for hotel serving the local area for hikers. Definitely the best of the four hotels serving Omalos, with a lovely covered dining area with water feature. They dropped us off at the Samaria Gorge and talked us through how to get back. When we stumbled back in many hours later (it’s definitely a hike!) they served a gorgeous meal of home cooked (we saw it) local fresh food and wine.
Super friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, nice tavern, decent selection of dinner food and big breakfast in the morning (in fact, if you are not a big morning eater, split your breakfast with your company). The hotel has all the basics for those staying overnight for the Samariá Gorge hike.
Only 5 mins away from the Samaria Gorge, this hotel was a perfect base for us. Simple but clean room, with a nice outside bar area to have a drink and some food at night. Staff super friendly.
This is a mountain refuge and as such the location is very beautiful and quite. There is a restaurant that serves also warm coffee and local tea blends. You can also dine with simple and local meals. Our room had the essential and was overall fine. The location is perfect to reach the Samaria gorge and you can also hike in the area surrounding the hotel.
The location of the hotel is ideal if you want to trek the Samaria gorges. Just 4 km from the entrance, a few minutes by car.

This hotel is ideally situated if you plan to do the Samaria Gorge's trail: you can relax and enjoy a quiet moment before reaching the nearby Xyloskalo early in the morning. Our room was really big, clean, with a nice view on the mountains and the hosts were helpful.
