Nice rooms. Some slight downsides but great for a budget hotel. Nice staff in the black sheep. Manager especially. One lamp didn’t work and the tv is a bit basic but didn’t spoil anything over all the room was a great quality for the price.

It was absolutely BEAUTIFUL
Rooms were everything I could imagine
Gardens were stunning
Breakfast was scrumptious
This is our first time travelling to the UK and on top of my wife list was to stay in a castle and Thornbury castle was everything she could of hoped for thank you for an enjoyable stay 🏰 🥰
We stayed in the king James V suite and it was absolutely stunning the bathroom was spectacular. We also brought our dog and she was very spoiled with a dog bed treats and beautiful gardens to run around in. We had dinner in the restaurant and the food was excellent as were the staff. Overall Thornbury castle did not disappoint
We were thoroughly impressed with the staff and our room at Thornbury Castle. Concierge accommodated our request for picking up the key early, and gave us a free upgrade to the Deluxe Prince Arthur room. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the large bathroom was a pleasure to use, and the period features were in beautiful working condition. We enjoyed the elegant and delicious breakfast, especially as we were not made to feel out of place in the grand setting of the castle with the beautiful dinnerware. We will be coming to stay again!
