The staff was truly amazing. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. There is an "optional" gratuity built into the bill, which I did not mind at all. The location is excellent for touring the town on foot - far enough away from downtown to be quiet, but not too far to make a stroll in for a pint too onerous. There are very few eating/shopping opportunities in the immediate environs, but a 10 minute walk downhill puts you in the thick of things. The valet parking was convenient and efficient but not cheap (25 pounds/night).

The hotel is in an excellent location with a beautiful vantage of the surrounding valley. While the area is bustling with shops, residents and tourists, the large garden provided a gorgeous sanctuary from the outside world. The staff are welcoming and efficient from housekeeping to management. I stay in Bath once or twice a year and just found my new home away from home.

We thought this was going to be a Jane Austin museum but it felt much more like a tourist trap. The man that gave a short speech at the start was good and we chatted with him after. But if you are interested in Jane Austin then I'd suggest you go visit Jane Austin house - a way more authentic feel.

I loved it.
I loved it. It includes an exhibit and a 15-minute long movie about Jane Austen. This visit takes about an hour. Then you can have the typical English tea upstaris in a really cozy tearoom. I did and it was delicious. The staff at the centre was so nice, and in the shop you can buy beautiful books, souvenirs, T-Shirts... about Jane Austen.

Great location for tourists, Royal Bath Theatre is across the square; 3-minute walk to Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, 5-minute walk to the Jane Austen Centre, lots of restaurants and pubs around.
The location is unbeatable. It's between the Roman Baths and the Jane Austen Centre with many cafes and restaurants nearby.
The apartment is clean and comfortable. It was very handy to have a washing machine/dryer on site mid-way through our vacation.
