It was a little out in the country, by water and with access to a small wooded area. Here you could see and feed red squirrels!
Inside, it was full of character, interesting features and beautiful period detail. It was clearly well looked after and maintained.
The staff were very friendly, polite, helpful and knowledgeable about the hotel and area.
We enjoyed a lovely evening meal and buffet breakfast.
The lounge/bar area was comfortable and spacious and there were games and books available for anyone who wished to use them.
It was booked as a handy stop over on our way North (it’s just off the motorway) and was a delightful surprise!

A lovely little cottage in a beautiful quiet little town, with the added bonus of being seconds from the motorway for onward travel. Both indoors and outdoors were welcoming and relaxing, with all we needed for a short stay.
Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Lune Cottage nestled between Lake District and Yorkshire Dales is situated in Tebay.

The entire package of the cottage, location, facilities, and hosts was spectacular.
The cottage was stunning and had everything we could have asked for including all the added extras to make our stay beyond comfortable. The view and the neighbouring paddocks with the sheep, goats and horse were picture perfect. Our teenagers loved interacting with the animals and the added trampoline got them reliving their younger days.
Communication with the hosts was flawless and the extra information about the area was extremely helpful. The Tebay Farm Shop is just beautiful and purchasing local products was blissful.
Highly recommended to all. Will definitely be booking again, one day.
