Location is really food being just off the M6 at Tebay services, plenty of parking. Despite the proximity of the M6 you can not hear the traffic. Breakfast was very tasty and set me up for the day.. lovely log fire when you walk in.

Amazing breakfast - so much and so good! Very helpful staff. Directed us down the road to the Shap Chippy!! We enjoyed a drink and relax in the communal rooms which was very nice.

Lovely comfortable bed with a huge tv mounted on the wall,I loved this after a long day of hiking. Also a great spa bath. The kitchen had all appliances needed and was clean and tidy. We briefly met the host at the end of our stay and she seemed lovely.
Orton hall was absolutely beautiful as was the Rochester Wing. It was lovely staying in this historic building. The apartment had everything you would need. Parking at the front of building too. Instructions on how to get in to the property we're clear. Would definitely come back again.
Lovely hotel/ pub in a beautiful village very close to the motorway- although it felt like a million miles from the noise and traffic. A perfect stopover, a great find. Friendly helpful staff too.
