In 160 acres of formal gardens, Shendish Manor features a leafy golf course, elegant restaurant and scenic countryside views. The manor is in Apsley, just outside Hemel Hempstead.

Sadly, did not have breakfast as had to leave early

Dating back to the 17th century, this elegant hotel serves Real Ales, an extensive wine list and home-cooked English food made with local produce.

The beds were so comfortable and the bath was incredible.
