We were greeted by friendly faces every day of our stay. The room was clean and well presented for our arrival. The room was also maintained to a high standard with no visible defects requiring attention. We were contacted by phone the morning of our arrival to check if we wanted a travel cot set up for our baby. The bed was even bigger than we had hoped and very comfy which led to very good sleep (when baby allowed). We had the cooked breakfast both days and thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely stay again next time we want to visit the area.

Room was very spacious with a beautiful view. It’s in a quaint and beautiful location. Food was good. Restaurant views are just as beautiful. The spa services were nice. Most of the staff is friendly, particularly the older gentleman in the restaurant who is very soft spoken, kind, and tentative.

The room we had was large, clean, and had some charming historic elements (i.e., fireplace mantle and exposed beams). Half of us were in a separate "pod" at the rear of the hotel; it, too, was clean, attractive, and comfortable. It is a great value, especially when you factor in the amazing breakfast - our best breakfast of a 4-week stay in the UK & Ireland.

Have visited a few times now.
Have visited a few times now. Fabulous views of surrounding countryside and an interesting and well presented tour of the inside of the castle. The gardens are quite delightful, the cafe is friendly with great food and the lake and deer park are firm favourites of mine.

Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Good food. A convenient location as we completed the Southern section of Offa's Dyke Path before heading away on the train. Good to be able to walk to the Welshpool-Llanfair steam railway and Powis Castle.
We had a really beautiful room, lovely decor and well appointed!
A charming hotel, retaining period features but modernised in a really tasteful way.
A great location to access most areas of Wales and a visit to Powis Castle is a must. Helpful, friendly staff and a nice restaurant.
